Eureka, Talon, 92 Photo Gallery

Got this Lava Acrylic Talon in today. Got it lightly used off the exchange, for a bargain.

I polished the bolsters and acrylic up, then gave the Wharnie some apple cider V and steel wool for lunch. ;):D

Good looking knife Primble, should make a dandy EDC.:cool::thumbup:

Primble, your 92 collection is moving right along! When you have time, would you shoot me a PM re: polishing the acrylic covers, i.e. how did you go about that?

I recently added the Smooth Ivory Bone...

The smooth ivory bone on this pattern is so dang classy, as is that ebony (?). Nice group

Lookin' good there, Primble. I saw that one in the exchange and I thought "Wow, that's a pretty knife".

Nice score!

Thank you ! :)

Thank you Ron. I agree about the EDC, but, but, so many knives I want to carry, ya know !:o:o:D

Thank you Al. I really like the smooth Ivory bone. Did not know about that one .............. I guess I need to do a 92 history list. ;):D:thumbup:

I just polished the acrylic with Flitz metal and fiberglass polish and microfiber cloth. It did a nice job too. ;):)

Second one from the top! I need to find one of those! What is the model # of that one?

Thanks for the info! Yes, very nice :) ... and if you decide to do a 92 history, we all know that it will be a dandy! :)

Great thread! Some really fine examples everyone. Really likin' that snakewood Primble, nice find.
I too came a bit late to the #92, but with the recent acquisition of a natural stag, I now have a happy trio.
I think they look very elegant, and so easy in the pocket.

The camera liked the green one.

This one too as it shows the beauty of the slim profile of the single blade.

All of these pictures are stunning! I have really admired the 92 for a long time and would love to get ahold of one in green linen micarta or ebony someday. Only thing is I can't decide between wharncliffe or spear... For those of you that have both is it mainly a "looks" thing that helps you decide which to carry or do you think there is an advantage to the blade type in this particular knife?

Two of my latest acquisitions.

Nice additions guys !

Not sure if appropriate, but instead of starting a new Talon thread I'm bumping this one.

The '16 SFO talon (I think) is about 4 weeks out. The option I'm excited about is Snakewood. Blue camel or Stag is also available. The Snakewood and Camel will have oak leaf shields.

fyi

Where is this information coming from? I'm definitely interested in this run, but don't see any of this information in the usual spots I look.

It's under the Production Schedule tab.

I'm hoping for a general run of Talons with Spear Blade and Barehead. The pending SFO are all Wharncliffes, it appears.

I hope they run some spear blades again in the future. The first run with steel bolsters and liners and a coping secondary was one of the finest and most interesting knives GEC has ever made.
