Eureka, Talon, 92 Photo Gallery

First run Eureka jack with spear main modified into a clip. Would have preferred a barehead, but all the Northfields were capped,
and the Tidioutes' spears had the nicks too far forward to make into a clip. That's what I call a looooong pull! ;)

Love it :)

Could just mean they haven’t decided on a color yet. Not sure.
thanks, you're probably correct, I probably would have never asked about the color but when I didn't see a color TBD next to the handle material like the Tidioute Jig Bone is why I asked, probably just an oversight and they will announce the color later on.

I'm surprised at what seems like a lack of interest in this run of Eureka Jack's. I've never owned one but I think they're one of the best looking knives there is. Any thoughts?

I am a bit surprised as well. I have been a longtime admirer of the pattern, it is simply a beautiful knife. When Al posted the production schedule, I was beyond excited, it is the one pattern I have been really hoping GEC would produce again.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea and the fact that it is being produced in a 2 blade configuration and with few cover choices probably doesn't help the masses foam at the mouth as much. It is just as well, it means that I had no need to fret too much when it came time to secure a couple.

I'd really like to know if it will be a bare head or not, though I am not too worried either way. Bare head or end capped, it will be an exceptional knife. I am hoping for some excellent Stag and a good color for the Camel Bone. I was pretty happy with how the Camel Bone #12s turned out.

@Padruig Yes I got in on stag for the first time in 5 years and I'm hoping for nice slim stag for my first. Also in on a camel bone and like you I hope for good color. If stag or camel bone don't excite me I guess I'll trade them off and keep the tidioute bone haha.

I also got in on the Camel Bone and Stag. And I really sat on the web site immediately punching in my requests at the start but only got a "Standby" on the Camel Bone. Got a "Reserved" on the Stag. Must have been some preferred customers who got the jump on me with the Camel. I still feel pretty good about my chances. Really looking forward to see how everything materializes. The Eureka Jack ranks right up there with my Washington Jack as favorites of mine.

They are very nice knives. Classic as well as classy. I hope everyone who wants one gets at least one!

That Smooth Ivory Bone is a real treat, Al! I was just looking through GEC's past production pics and that one immediately caught my eye.

Shocked it stayed open for over two hours. Not sure what the deal was with that, but whatever it is I will take it.

After the 93 and Signal Jack frenzies, I was pleasantly surprised I was able to reserve the Antique Calico a couple nights ago and then the OD Green and Camel Bone today. I think I'm going to really like this pattern. I know a lot of folks prefer a clip to a spear for the main blade, but I kind of prefer the spear. At any rate, I'm pumped for these.

I went for a camel bone. Dark red or green would be fun. Also maybe they'll do a bare end with a squared but like some Barlows. That would be a nice touch.
