Ever bought a knife for wrong reasons?

By the knife and then find a reason why you bought it.

It really isn’t that hard to think of a ā€œgood ā€œ reason, just don’t think of the bad reason and be satisfied you did good! šŸ˜†

Retail therapy.

ā€œLook at all the money you’ve saved by not buying cars, motorbikes, or firearms. You deserve a treat.ā€

ā€œWho knows how much longer that stag will be available. Or if we’ll even have stag. It could become a controlled substance any day.ā€

ā€œYou haven’t eaten out in weeks. You’ve earned this.ā€

I have a similar method.....
Start shopping for a $500 knife , find something I like for $300.... I've saved $200.

That is awesome to hear!

I know a few girls that have a knife, but they mostly have SAK or something from gas station. This girl bought that knife just because she believes it's a collab of Cold Steel and Taylor Swift singer, but she loves the knife and always has it.

I think there is a lot of women that like knives, but they just don't visit forums like this one.
My Daughter Carries a small Sebenza and a SAK, but yeah she does not read these forums.

Oh yeaaa, I'm a girl, but I love knives. Some guys do not understand this and perceive everything under stereotypical thinking, such as that girls should not go hiking and use knives, much less have a whole collection.
Knives are for everyone, just because someone is a girl/woman doesn’t mean they shouldn’t use knives. Everyone should know how to use knives. Here in Canada the stereotypical thinking goes so far with some people (male and female) who say stuff like ā€œcars are for boys and if you’re a girl who likes cars then should be a boy.ā€ Pretty messed up here in Canada hehe.

Almost every knife I own was bought for some made up reason 🤣
I don’t make up the reasons, the voice in my head does. ā€˜You know, that knife would be perfect for [insert made up reason here].’ I’ve tried arguing with the voice, reminding it that I’ve got at least 10 other knives in the drawer that would perfectly suit that purpose, but somehow the voice usually wins. Usually it’s something like, ā€˜but you don’t have that one in magnacut.’ How can you dispute that kind of logic.
