Lora,
Have you gotten closer to making a decision? You might like a s&w airweight revolver in 38spl +p or similar. Also the ruger gp100 is excellent but noticeably heavier. There are a lot o good auto choices...but I would recommend a revolver for a first time purchase. You might consider going to a range that rents handguns and try some different choices out. You can also go to the nra website and find an instructor in your area that could help.
A whole 4 days CCWing a Glock 34, so far not bad amd a lot more concealable than i thought with a hood holster but with it getting hot fast I will be wanying to go smaller for sure.
:thumbup:Yeah the G19 is great. I still got my gen2 G19 with Austria proof marks, bought it new in 1989. Shot all kinds of rounds Corbon, Ranger 127 gr +p+, Gold Dot 124g +p, NATO 124gr and it ate them all up no prob.
I'm a .45 guy so small is always a hard choice however back in the '80's I picked up 2 Detonics combat masters when they were first starting out so not real pretty but very compact for a 45acp. I would like
more mag capacity but the trade off for size is acceptable.
