Every day carry

If I am carrying a slippie then it is either:
a Tidioute Cutlery Valley Green Jigged Bone 4 1/2' Trapper
a Queen Bird's Eye Maple 2 blade Folding Hunter or
a Schatt and Morgan boysenberry jigged bone Congress

I WANT ONE!! Finally a clip that doesn't suck..

R

Thanks!:)
This new EDC variation is my favorite so far. It's thinner and lighter than the fancy version, and really nice to carry. If all goes as expected, they'll be really aggressively priced too.

Cant wait!!

I have been switching between an 80-year old Schrade carbon-steel swell end jack, my favorite production EDC at present, and a custom John Fraps spear point folder with pearl scales, which I really like.
Would like to get one of those back pocket dudes sometime!

Left pocket on clip: Boker Trance or BM Griptilian (work/play) I'm a lefty:)

Right pocket: double keychain with side release buckle with Swiss+Tech 6-in-1 tool, County Comm Micro Widgy pry bar, LED microlight, spy capsule with 3 days meds, and an SAK Classic.

Sometimes, a Leatherman Juice Cs4 on my RH belt in a clear polycarbonate sheath.

Folks, let's try to keep the replies somewhat on point with the traditional folders and fixed blade theme otherwise this thread will be better served in the general blade discussion forum.

Thanks!

I've got a burnt stag Case peanut in my shirt pocket, this little sucker has really grown on me.

In my right front pocket I've got a Victorinox Camper and a BM Opportunist. Anybody looking for a one hand opening knife that's not one of those thick bladed tacticool gimmicks needs to take a good look at the Opportunist, really nice and well designed. http://www.knifeworks.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=6249

My trusty Vic Classic is in its little sheath on my keychain.

And I always carry a fixed blade (custom leuku today) and a multitool in my bag (Swisstool Spirit with ratchet).

Red bone Case warncliffe Muskrat in the right back pocket and an awesome SS Spyderco Ladybug with VG-10 in the front. SAK Classic, Garrett LED light and P-38 on the key chain.

Three blade Old Timer bought sometime around 1975 and carried mostly every day since. Well, I did lose it for two years once - found it (in surprisingly good shape) while mowing the backyard. Cleaned it up, sharpened and oiled it and still use it. Carrying it in a pocket all these years has given the metal a nice patnia. The large blade needs some thighting though, not floppy, just closes to easy like, just don't have that satisfying snap anymore.

Case, Smooth, Chestnut Bone, Mini-Trapper. Pretty much become my standard carry.

I always have a battered little Vic Classic in my left pocket with my hankerchief and a lens clotch. Most used are the toothpick and the screwdriver tip of the nail file. Today I did use the scissors to trim my nails.

As always, a Wenger utility SAK rides in my blazer and is pretty much part of the uniform blazer. It stays in the blazer except when it gets cleaned. I usually don't think about carrying the two SAKs. The Case mini is what I think of as me carrying a knife. The others are just sort of there so much as part of he wardrobe I don't even think about carrying them at times.

Yep, same thing as yesterday and the day before. :)

Although my Peanut is my first true love when it comes to knives, my Vic Sportsman II has really, REALLY grown on me. Kind've like the mini trapper grew on Amos. He used to carry a full sized trapper, and started carrying the mini along WITH it, until one day he realized the mini had pushed the large trapper out of his pocket and taken over. It's become the one knife he always comes back to. The Sportsman II I got for $7 at Big-lots has become my EDC. I carry it more and more, and when I have my Peanut with me instead, I start needing the toothpick, or corkscrew. I start missing the Sportsman. My first SAK was a Sportsman, so initially it was the nostalgia factor, but now it's a functional matter. At work, it gets wet, covered in sand and gook, sweat, bleach, all kinds of stuff, and it's used alot as well, for everything from cutting rope to skinning reptiles, and it's hung tough. I know the Alox SAKs are bulletproof little tanks, but was never quite sure how tough officer SAKs were, and figured "For $7 dollars? I'll push the limits on this one." So far it's held up quite nicely. Plus, the nylon scales provide a much better gripping surface then the cellidor ones, specially when wet. I love the scout/camp style slippies, and the Sportsman has everything a camp knife has, plus more. And the small size (84 MM) and universally known red scales makes it a very sheeple friendly knife as well. A perfect compliment to my Leatherman Wave. I love this little guy.

The past couple of days has been my Queen BEM Canoe and Victorinox Stay Glow Tinker.

Lately, I've been EDCing a Case small Congress with antique pocket-worn scales. It's a tiny knife (only 3 1/8 inches closed), but it's easy to carry and a joy to use.

Case Canoe C.V, 3 yrs and counting. :) Keep looking at those damned Sodbusters though, must.....resist.......

An every day carry? None for me. I mix 'em up too much. Today I'm toting my Case Sodbuster Jr. with yellow handles and CV blade. Most days I also carry a Leatherman Micra but not today.

My dad gave me a 3-7/8" stockman back in the 70's. I got it out of a drawer lately, sharpened it up and started a whittling project with it. I was a little disheartened to find the clip blade had some wobble. Keep in mind, I'm no knife repair guy. I attempt stuff sometimes and suffer the consequences later. I put the knife in between a towel and very, very lightly, tapped on both sides of the bolsters with a ball peen hammer, checking the tightness in between taps. So far, so good. This seemed to tighten the blade up nicely and I hope it stays this way. Too hard a tap and I could have locked it up too tight. I had it out last night admiring the snap and lock up. The fit and finish is excellent on this old knife too.

I also like my Alox Victorinox soldier for EDC. I just ordered the Cadet II, because sometimes, I prefer a smaller blade.
