Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Drove to the in laws’ house earlier and as we were getting out of my truck I saw what looked like a small metal tool in the road. Turned out to be one of those cheapo razor “survival” knives. It has “derma safe” stamped on the handle. Put it in the toolbox and took off. I doubt anyone is going back looking for it.

Boker Trapper. Smooth and flawless.

Yeah I thought about going that route but I just wanted to try it out before I do anything wild with it.

Just on the chance I didn't like it. I think you'll be satisfied, mine drop shuts smoothly.

I got a surprise last night - tracking now shows a delivery of Saturday June 1st for my pair of Truffles.

These came in last week, but I was too busy to post them all. The 2 carbon fiber beads came from Etsy.

* The Demko AD 20.5 CF knives in clip point and sharks foot were ones I bought at release in 3V a while back. I shipped them out to @Gary W. Graley so he could try them out and see if he wanted to keep one and install a lanyard on the other for me. He installed the lanyards.
* Kizer Sparrow in 154CM and laser etched blade, shipped from AD to Gary to try it out and see if he wanted to keep it, but it came back with a lanyard. He did keep the Kizer Invictus (for now :))
* Terrain 365 neck knife in dendritic cobalt went to Gary so he could try it out first as well. I agree it's pretty thick behind the edge, but will make a nice rust proof car knife/camping knife and hopefully the microscopic serrations will keep it cutting for a long time. Did not alter the stock lanyard that is part of the handle wrap.
* From @REK Knives came a set of Aramis Akhmedov gold CF scales and anodized REK clip for my incoming REC Spyderco Shaman in CTS-204P steel.
* Oknife Rubato 4 drop point in S35VN and rose carbon fiber.
* Oknife Multitool with locking D2 blade and tools (screw driver, bottle opener, can opener, file, Philips and flathead screw driver, and big scissors)

The three for which Gary installed a lanyard - they were installed this way so as to keep the knives slim in the pocket

This Kizer Sparrow in my post above is in a new Father's Day Give Away at this link now:

So only a few days ago I said there was only one more Spyderco I want in my collection... well I just got it! The grailiest of grail Spydercos. Good luck comes in waves.

Sweet find! I have been on the hunt now for a bit. If you don’t mind where did you find it and what was your price?
We are not allowed to discuss knife values if you don't have a gold membership.

FWIW, this is not exactly true.

The Forum rules prohibit members from giving anyone who is not a Gold member or better an estimate of what his or her knife might be worth.

However, the FloridaBladesman was asking you how much you paid for YOUR Nirvana & there isn't any rule that I know of that prohibits you from giving him that info if you care to do so.

FYI, I paid $400 for my Nirvana 3-4 years ago which is pretty useless info because you can't touch one for less than 2-3x's that amount now.🤷

I would have to disagree with you on this based on the plain wording of the rule below. It even clarifies that they can't ask about sale values.
In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site.
In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values.
And how would one make a reasonable distinction between giving an estimate which should ideally be based on actual sale values vs. giving an actual sale value? It seems to be a confusing distinction since you gave FloridaBladesman an estimate of how much a Nirvana is worth now in your own post!

You're free to disagree but your interpretation of the rule is incorrect.

See: What Is My Knife Worth?

This is how the "rule" has always been interpreted to mean in the 5+ years that I've been a member. If you want to debate this matter further, feel free to send me a PM to do so but this is not the appropriate place to continue to do that. So, you won't hear any more about it from me here.

EOM. ✂️

BTW, congrats on finding the Nirvana! 👏

Found these guys at a yard sale today, I had almost given up on yard sales....😃 A Case and an Imperial for $25! They need cleaning up for sure. The case looks to be from the 60s and the imperial from 56-88... Totally lucky finds... Should have checked the rest of what they had, but I didn't have any more cash LOL..
