Same here, the hole is positioned a bit quirky and can't be properly used to flick.I have one of these and it's pretty nice. It front flips easily, but I still wish the holes in the blade could be used to reverse flick or thumb flick in addition to the front flipper.
How does the spartan feel in the hand? It's awesome lookingTwo landed that I've been wanting to check out for a very long time, thrilled with both!
Absolutely stunningThis beautiful thing...

I get it. I have one too.A Cold Steel Luzon. Sigh. There's a youngster inside each of us, and Lynne Thompson made toys for them. Every once in a while I give in to the whining.
I have no earthly use for the silly thing, except it puts a grin on my face when it whacks open.

It feels great, the surface of the handle is slightly rough and grippy, the ergonomics are fantastic. This is a keeper for sure! How does the spartan feel in the hand? It's awesome looking

So I was trying to get this "nail breaker" that I posted as new the other week open, using hemostats (most often people use them as a roach clip); but once partly open the super duper HEAVY spring snapped the blade shut on my thumb! I could NOT even open the dang knife to get my thumb out, and had to just pull the knife off my finger!
This time I decided to leave out the blood, and go straight to the SuperGlue shot, but it took over 5 minutes to stop bleeding enough to glue it. Only 2mm of my thumb's tip is numb...

It might be time to part with that rascal, I'm sure there are avid Lambsfoot collectors around here that would be happy to help with that! As they are used to the strong spring that these knives are known for.

I have only two SHFs, both full size and yes - both have a tiny bit lock stick, but I think it is not abnormal. I don't see any noticeable lock wear though I have not owned them long enough. Is there any lock stick or lock bar wear? Since there is no steel lock bar insert, do they carbidise the lock bar face?
I know it's a neurotic thing to worry about, but I'm a neurotic knife guy.![]()
No lock stick with the button lock. If you have handled a Freeman, the action is very similar, very smooth. Is there any lock stick or lock bar wear? Since there is no steel lock bar insert, do they carbidise the lock bar face?
