I like everything about those, including the convertible concept… except the big gold colored pivot cover.

I wish that they'd both had the same design (the manual pivot is a smooth circle), but I understand that the tines on the auto pivot are needed in order to use the included tool to be able to dial in the preferred opening speed of the pivot. The design is really neat, so it's a small gripe from me.

I’m just not a gold guy, but I get that some like a pop of color, and I understand how it follows WS’s branding. Black or natural would have been more palatable to me, but I’m a pretty drab fellow.

Hey, nothing wrong with some subtlety. Candidly, the reason I chased these was due to the gold pop of color, and the novelty of the swappable pivot. Oh, and the price direct from Worksharp doesn't hurt either!!!

One piece of general advice for anyone who wants one or both of these: don't pay stupid secondary market prices. Drops are happening every several to ten days, just get email notifications set up and be ready to jump, because they come around consistently.

Like I said, I love the concept. I think it’s a fantastic first offering, and more power to them for expanding into the actual knife market. But you know me, I’ll get one five years after the novelty wears off. Lol.

There's one over on the bay, listed for $205. A quick look at WS site would save you $50.

Thanks a LOT. Another one just completely bypassed the wish list. Actually I’ve been eyeballing one of these since you first started talking about it, but I had no intention of buying one just yet. Just ordered a grey reverse tanto. It’s only my third knife this week. You guys are the best.
