Oooh, I did a thing. Again. Pouring through the big Knife Center sale items, I came upon a Case Westline. Never saw this knife before, but I really like the size and shape of the blade and handle. 2 of the 5 models they stock are on sale, but of course the really nice blue & black CF that I like most is not one of those. My second choice, blue anodized aluminum, isn’t on sale either, though it is cheaper than anybody else has it. Except it’s on back-order. I really like the knife, but I don’t prefer the options currently on sale. And I don’t feel like waiting until the blue one is back in stock. So I did what I said I wouldn’t do and ordered the more expensive blue & black CF. I guess I moved on it just in time, because after I placed my order it’s showing as out of stock; and it’s about $30 less than anybody else, so how can that be a bad thing.

I normally post in the Traditional and Buck Knife sub-forums, but this new knife belongs here. Gifted to me this past Wednesday at my retirement dinner by a teammate; very solid WESN Allman pocketknife with OD Green G10 handles - it has a strong assisted blade opening and even has a machined pocket-clip. I think this will be a new favorite pretty quickly.

Hardly ever see these anymore but IMO they’re the handiest small knives ever. Extremely well built, USA made, great size just to throw in the pocket with nice S35 steel. Named after the first letters of the compass directions BTW.

This big beautiful brute came in today. Cold Steel AD-10 special edition with a full titanium handle and 3V blade. It’s really well done, incredibly smooth and well-finished. I also have the standard AD-10 but this one is a level above.
