Just received a Spyderco Bradley Bowie as yet another "gift" to myself.

It is WAY bigger than the Junction that I bought not long ago.

The Bowie is nicely balanced but I prefer the size, blade shape & "heft" of the Spyderco Serrata,

which is heavier than it looks because it has a 7mm wide tang (vs the 4mm wide tang of the Bowie).

They're all great knives but the one I'd most likely carry hiking/camping would be the Serrata which IMO is often overlooked and under-rated.
You have an awesome collection!

I also wish some of my fixed blades (Jump Master, Fish Hunter) were just a tad thicker, just so that they don't feel so department store.

You have an awesome collection!

Thanks!

The Bradley Bowie, Junction and Serrata are 3 out of 18 fixed blade Spydercos that I currently own.

If you're interested, you can see 16 of them together here in Post #8046. The 2 additions since then are a ZMax Mule and the Bradley Bowie.

The S45VN Mule was "unclothed" when I took the pic above. Bought some extra handles from Halpern for it and the ZMax. So, you can also look here in Post #8069 to see what the 4 Mules look like now.

It's just a small collection of various Spyderco fixed blades that suit my taste in terms of size/design/style.

BTW, my Spyderco collection also currently includes 6 autos, 3 balis and 121 folders.

What are your impressions on this one?

I've been considering it but have yet to hit that order button.

i like it, the handle is very beefy for a 3.25" blade. It flies open with the thumb stud, flipper not as good yet, but that may break in over time, and doesn't bother me.

i like that it is not a made in China boker,

It looks similar in profile to Winkler's belt knife, i think that is what Dan was going for with the look and the handle. I think its a good model, a chance to get a Winkler design for a much less price

I don't own a Spyderco yet......
I do think after seeing this post I have found the Spyderco I want.
For me some titanium scales.....
Great knife though.....

Nice!
was the Damasteel a special order?
It was apparently made for the 2021 USN Gathering. I obtained it from the dealer who purchased it at the show.

Traded a Rockstead for it, and I feel fine with the trade. It is a marvel of pride in workmanship. I immediately placed an order for a matching Accomplice. If you haven’t held one in the hand, it’s bloody transcendental.
