Ah. Thanks for the info. I haven't kept up on the latest benchmades. That small one looks especially nice.No sir. I'm not a fan of autos, so these are both manuals. For future reference, the auto Adamas knives currently only come in the large, and they don't have thumbstuds.

How do you like the Joker?Ive been considering getting the Scandi grind version of this knife..looks like it would make a great little bushcraft knife.I like the Sandvik 14C28N blade steel too.its a really well balanced steel and it’s still pretty easy to sharpen in the fieldAn arrival today from Albacete, Spain: Joker Montañero.

Nice Cold Steel pick up..I’ve been wanting the Drop Forged Survivalist for a while.I hear the Drop Forged Bowie is pretty great as well..I have the Recon Tanto in SK-5 but I’ve been wanting to get it in San Mai or better yet,3V..I have the SRK in 3V and AUS 8..I’m glad to see they are making the Kukri and Recon Scout in 3V though I think they are both over priced so I will probably wait until I can get those 2 when they release A2Just bought these in the last week or so (except for the Survivalist, bought that one a year or so ago):
Not shown, Drop Forged Boot Knife, that hasn't arrived yet. All five of these arrived razor sharp.

It answers the question of what if Morakniv made an upscale knife that was more robust in blade than their current top offerings, full tang, and had much better handles. I have larger hands so I love that their rounded handles are made for working in the bush. I got my first Joker knife a few years ago, a few more, and then things snowballed in the last year. It didn't help that the shipping price was the same no matter how many I bought. I'm up to 13 of them now. The Ember and Nessmuk (despite a Nessmuk with a scandi grind being heresy in some circles) seem to be the favourite for a lot of people, who don't go for the big chopping Nomad. My current preferences are the Montañero, Trampero, and Puukko. It's just a matter of getting the one (or twelve) that's right for you.How do you like the Joker?Ive been considering getting the Scandi grind version of this knife..looks like it would make a great little bushcraft knife.I like the Sandvik 14C28N blade steel too.its a really well balanced steel and it’s still pretty easy to sharpen in the field
Huh, that's interesting! That's good to know. I actually decided on a KME with diamond stones though in the end. It should be here friday, I'm super stoked about it! I bought it mainly for reprofiling jobs, which I unfortunately need to do fairly often with the sharpening jobs that have come on some of my knives lately. It should be sweet!I think you’ll be very happy wit this, I have the same setup and I am using it a lot
It takes little time to learn how not to convex everything that touches the belt, start with some beater blade.
BTW, Benchmade techs are using the same grinder on the SHOT to touch up your knives, this is how I picked up this particular grinder for myself ha ha ha…![]()
