Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Been looking at these lately. Had a tough time choosing, but ended up with these two. The top one is a Gentac Red Sands. The bottom is a Gentac Saturn 2. Sorry my photos are not very good.

Hey Chip, 2 questions if you don’t mind.
1) How do you like the pocket clip positioning on the Caswell?
2) What is the purpose of the cutout on the front scale of the Caswell?

Is it just a weight saving cutout or does it serve a purpose? Possibly a bit driver holder. Thanks in advance.
Well, as far as in the pocket it sits pretty high but its not the end of the world. It disappears when open so it doesn't affect the ergos at all.

The cutout is where the lock release tab appears when open.

I was instantly attracted to the design two years ago but passed it over due to the unusual (to me) blade alloy, and I was always missed the drop on the M390 variant. Then recently I met the designer Patrick Ma and after hearing him extoll the virtues of terrvantium I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. If you measure a blades performance by how well it slices a sheet a paper you may be disappointed. If you measure a blades performance by how well it cuts rope, cardboard, wood, meat, fish, etc, and require little sharpening in between, then you'll be in for a treat. Besides I live by the sea so a rustproof knife makes sense.
