I may have to try the WS again. I loved the spydie flick and front flip, but didn’t like opening with my thumb. Finally arrived

Lou Reed would be proud. Pictures never do justice to the finish of Olamics' knives.I decided to "take a walk on View attachment 1863662View attachment 1863663View attachment 1863664View attachment 1863665the WILD side" with this one.
Another Olamic WYfarer 247. This one in gold orange peel; with blue hardware...
my latest acquisition is by one of the planet's most widely recognized names in knives. it can actually cut right through a NAIL - I've done it more than once! (I don't know the steel). two curved blades & a file, in a very compact package. definitely an EDC, tho' somewhat limited in a self-defence role. probably not much good for batoning, either . . .

My recent impression of Civivi is the QC going down. That's why I preferred Hic-Cup from Kizer as they are way more consistent in the quality of fit and finish. This one has been fine but I dd have to return two others, because the detent was too soft and the other had a lock issue which I think would only show up on the ones with wood scales. It felt like the hole the lock button was in was too tight and hang up, I played with ir for awhile and got it to work well but decided I would rather just get a replacement. So as I said I really like my last one.
HiI don't (or rather, 'didn't') have any Kizers butRaku 's post is interesting. so, I just ordered a CF Begleiter 2 with a steel i never heard of, N690. I'll post pix realsoonnow.
The Atmos is a great snappy little knife. You will enjoy it!Kershaw #5 is on the way. I didn’t set out to buy another Kershaw, just something lightweight and cheap. Because … since I’ve been working from home for over two years, and will probably continue to do so until I retire, I spend all of most days in pajama pants and a t-shirt. Sometimes I go putter around outside or in the garage, or just tear through the latest Amazon (or KC) deliveries, but only if I’m forced to go out in public do I throw on a pair of jeans and a real shirt. Up until now, the lightest knife I own is the Oso Sweet, weighing in at a hefty pj-sagging 2.9 oz. So the search was on for something lighter, but still fully functional. I care little about blade material as long as it isn’t total crap, and less about where it’s made. I searched through 900 liner-lock pocket flippers, because I’ve decided I really like liner locks and flippers, which yielded a lot of close calls, but only two near perfect options, both of which happened to be Kershaws. Second place went to the Jens Anso Fraxion, but the winner, by virtue of I like its looks better despite being .1 oz heavier and $10 more, is the Atmos. Just a nice looking, 2-oz piece that should be fully capable of whatever I’ll need it for in my pajamas. And it will save me the embarrassment of a severe case of plumbers ass.

I just ordered this last night. Kizer makes it hard to not spend money honestly. They keep pushing out great designs in good materials.Hidocflash
I hope you won't be disappointed. N690 is a steel made by Bohler and according to some sources it's similar to VG-10.
Edit:
Latest Kizer... Hic-Cup!

And I was supprised that it took some effort to sharpen it, so they probably made good heat treating for the blades. The Atmos is a great snappy little knife. You will enjoy it!

Yeah they do really good heat treats. I've never been upset with their quality. And I was supprised that it took some effort to sharpen it, so they probably made good heat treating for the blades.
Me too! Not so much the action, but always blade play and sometimes detent lash on top of that.Arrived today. As per usual for the last 5 or so new Spyderco knives I’ve received made in USA it’s action is garbage. Tons of blade play as well.
