Right now I have a 20CV skinny harpoon spanto that is my main XM-18 user, and a half-track harpoon spanto that is a backup user. I figure the next time I send in my 20CV model for re-sharpening at Father and Son that maybe I will swap to one of the others, but it took me a year to dull the 20CV before it needed its first sharpening, so I'm not sure to which one I would rotate, the other two 20CV XM-18, the S45VN, or the Magnacut.

I SWEAR, after next week's arrivals are posted here Imma gonna slow down my purchases. Once I post those 10 knives, I have only 3-4 more on pre-order... That's the ticket. Yeah.

Nice! I’d be tempted to try the Magnacut, to see how it compares. Plus, they’re both skinnys, so the geometry should be similar..

Off Topic? So, I have one other skinny XM-18, a stonewashed 20CV Harpoon Spanto that I switched the black G10 for Burgundy Micarta, which I received around January this year so relatively new. I do like the Skinny ones best, and that particular one is reverse flickable and thumb flickable, while I can barely thumb flick any of the others.

A Great knife.

I received it yesterday but the gray finish was darker than I expected. So, I disassembled the knife, taped off the four carbon fiber inserts and buffed the titanium handles to a slightly distressed/lighter gray finish. I left the blade, pocket clip and back-spacer the original gray.

Finally bit the bullet and sprung for my first damascus blade. A Civivi Chevalier. I waited until Civivi worked out the bugs with this model. Many were reported after the initial release. My knife has a very minor lock stick, and it is working itself out as I use it frequently. It will go away with use. Very smooth overall. Like the sheepsfoot profile and the very slight belly. Wood grain looks deep and outstanding to my eyes. Happy camper!
