Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Holy crap Doc! You acquire more in a month (heck maybe a week) than I do in a year. I thought I had a problem haha. I’ve had to slow myself waaaay down this year, I can see where the extra momentum went haha.

Now I’m embarrassed to say this is all I have to show for my latest acquisition lol. Sweet little inexpensive knife nonetheless. Now back to the Doc show. Should change the title to Doc’s latest acquisitions lmao 🤣

Beautiful blade!! OD green canvas is the best...😜

Couple new goodies over the past few weeks. The Koenig is new to me and my first. I have been wanting to check one out after seeing so many pass through the secondary market.

Seeing the Ochs G2 posted here a few weeks ago made me want to check them out. Very nice. Sleek and smooth action.

Love the little AB Rinkhals! Been carrying it everyday since it's arrived. Great little slipjoint.

I have to thank DocJeki for making me feel like a normal human being. I felt bad spending over a couple grand this month on knives thinking I had a serious issue 🤣🤣🤣.... our man DocJeki may have just raised the bar. To the point we may all feel a little better about ourselves. I picked up a small CGG Sebenza 20230602_105430.jpg20230602_105536.jpg

Oh Mylanta 😮! I can’t say I’ve seen that move before lmao 🤣 You must have a lot of confidence knowing you’ll keep it or be ok with taking $ off on the resale value. Either way it sure looks sharp haha.

Mine only lasted a couple weeks before I sold it off lol, but kept the box and COA in tact haha.
It’s my 7th one! I have this love / hate thing with the Zaan….but I’ve accepted it and this one won’t be sold. I may give it away if I decide I must have magnacut but I’ll not sell it.

Oh. My. Lord! Oy Vey! And Oh The InHumanity!

I would not sleep at night ever again if I did that to mine! Although, if I ever trade my tanto Zaan for a drop point I may have to do that in order to be sure that keep the darn thing, sleep be dammed.

The other three that came in today were all budget flipper knives I can beat on or use as gifts.

The CJRB Riff button lock in AR-RPM9 steel and micarta scales is pretty sturdy compared to all the Pyrite and Ekko models (even my Ti or CF models), and feels like it could so some heavy work. The action is great, blade very sharp, plus the fit, finish, and ergonomics are good. I really like it a lot.

The Ruike P801 Flipper is a steel frame lock with with 14c28n Sandvik blade steel. The frame switches between silver and slight gold hue in color, with blue thumb studs and deep carry clip. Very sharp, well made, but a bit heavier than the others due to bigger steel frame (definitely heavier than a Pyrite or Ekko).

And the Ontario Knife Co Ti22 Blurple Titanium frame lock flipper with tanto in Aus-8 blade steel. The Titanium frame lock seems to shift between blue and purple, depending on how the light hits it. Very light but sturdy, sharp, and ergonomic. The finish is not as good on the micro details as the other knives.

WARNING - if I flick my wrist out really hard I can deploy the heavy blade on the CJRB Riff without touching the flipper or button lock. It's likely to open if dropped on the ground. I like the way it feels, and the smooth action, but the button lock detent needs to be strengthened to make it safe.

I also gave away the Ontario Ti22 above to my son-in law. He needed a very light and small flipper that wasn't threatening around others in the office unlike the switchblades and assisted openers I've given him in the past (although he does have that GEC urban Jack it's not one-handed opening). The finish on the knife just seemed incomplete due to being an early 1st run?
