Nine times out of ten I usually don't post my new purchases on here. Just because I'm not one of those types that like to brag...But I'm pretty happy with today's mail call! I finally won a lottery for a cool knife purchase. This Golden Shiro was a Blade show edition and I've been wanting a "Turtle" for a while. I really like the anodized version that I won. The MEFP Spartan is pretty sweet as well and the Tanto grind makes it that much sweeter! And the Chaves is bad to the bone as always! Happy day!!IMG_20230608_184344589.jpg

Just guessing as you have far more experience than I... My Iridium did the same thing to my palm. It seems more at risk if I'm releasing both side of the lock at the same time. I need to push it more into the meat of the palm to counter the spring tension. With just my right-hand thumb releasing the lock of my Iridium, the fingers can better grip the other side of the knife to keep the tip away from the meat of my palm.

For me I think it is more of a length issue - the shorter axis lock knives are easier for me to release; but the longer ones have their tail end dig into the meat of my palm more, in order for me to reach the bar lock with my fingers to pull back. I should try it with just one finger and see how that goes.

I love your choice in these knives. We have the same taste
