Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Through the hazy smoke filled skies, UPS delivered this package from my friends at KnifeCenter KnifeCenter along with a nice mat too. In todays box was a bit of very heavy duty paracord that will be used to replace the fraying cord on my tree trimmer cutter, it's a longish cord on that as the cutter handle can extend out quite a ways. And two knives, the one on the right is the Baby Banter, quite nice and razor sharp out of the box, a small lanyard will help it out, to be done later on today. And the other one is an ODD22 folder designed by TuffKnives

inComing iMamba preorder! Thanks to Arno Bernard for bringing it to Blade Show for me, and to Jim at African Sporting Creations for shipping it the minute he got back from Blade Show!

I first had the plane Jane imamba, which lead me to order this blue kudu bone inlay model (and a fixed blade that will be here in 1-2 days). The pics don't do justice to the polished blade, as the iPhone grains it up a bit in post-processing.

Edited to add video.

Hahah, I forgot I have one of these being delivered tomorrow. Whoops...

Benchmade Narrows in M390 and Ti, and Hogue Ritter Mini RSK in Magnacut and carbon fiber arrived today. Already nipped my palm closing the Benchmade on the meat of my palm - maybe bearings aren't for me?
Just guessing as you have far more experience than I... My Iridium did the same thing to my palm. It seems more at risk if I'm releasing both side of the lock at the same time. I need to push it more into the meat of the palm to counter the spring tension. With just my right-hand thumb releasing the lock of my Iridium, the fingers can better grip the other side of the knife to keep the tip away from the meat of my palm.

Really liking this BM Bugout. So light it disappears in my pocket. At the $129 I paid for it last week on the REI sale its a very nice knife. Mainly got it just to clip to my backpack for hiking trips but I can see EDC'ing it a lot also. Everyone talks about the scales not being that strong but you would have to really squeeze them to get them to bend. Heck we all know its not a Hinderer or some other tank built folder. For what its suppose to be its perfect. Very happy with this purchase.

The bugout is a great lightweight knife! Though my biggest problem with it is the Ti lock bar! It wears out so quickly which makes it have blade play and awful lock stick. But you can get aftermarket steel lock bars for it, which completely solve the problem! I'd recommend to anyone that get's one change that out first thing.
But hey, that's just me 🙂
