Just done here, I spent the day getting my new batch 100% ready to go, I took some quick videos! 2 videos - 2 takes, they are more entertaining that way. :D

Sam Adams Octoberfest. Friend told me: it was entered in a German beer contest,in Germany,and WON!
Said there is a TV commercial about it....dunno.

No TV.
 
Here they are! Sam Adams has some pretty good beers, I'll have to check it out! I really like the Boston Lager.

Morning y'all. Nice and clear here, a bit chilly at 56* out side but not too bad yet. Got a harvest festival to go to today, so again no makin knives for me.

Enjoy the festival! I need to do some harvesting here, I have a bunch of potatoes ready.

I'm making more knives today... trying to get photos too, this lighting is killing me, I took 96 photos yesterday and they all sucked. Lol at least the knives are cool!
 
Morning all. Off to the lower Sierras to play (visiting some in-laws). I'll have some picks of a large Fairly knife doing some damage when I return. That means I'll finally have to open a flickr account...

Well made it home from the family weekend at my daughters college.She wanted to come home till Monday because she has an afternoon class. She missis her English Lab she has never been away from her dog for more than a day in his 6 years.
 
Those are sweet dogs,bigcountry.

Spent the day yesterday cleaning out Gnarly's Handloading Emporium & Den Of Little White Prevarications....then re-doing a bit of wiring and running 12ga speaker cable thru the studs.....then adding itchulation.
I hate itchulation.
Got one wall completely done & the wallboard put up; ready to paint,then build shelves + a rack system.
Today: more itchulation,more wallboard.
Tomorrow: more itchulation,more wallboard.
I detest itchulation.
Tuesday: at work,caring for sick people.
Weds/Thurs/Friday: more itchulation, more wallboard.
I totally abhor itchulation.

But I'll stop whining now.
3 years ago for our Anniversary,I got her a card,two dozen pink roses,a bottle of Calvin Klein 'Beauty', some gownless evening straps,and a nice evening out.
She got me a card,and an Amish-built workshop.
 
Morning fellas! Had an absolute blast at my friends harvest party! Lots of old friends I haven't seen in years, kids all over the place, farm fresh food like chicken, pork, and all sorts of veggies, beer, live music, beer, animals everywhere, beer, and just a plain ol' good time! They got a couple of draught horses since I have seen them last, and let me tell you smething, if you haven't been up close to one you just have no idea how big one of these animals are! I'm 6' tall and I couldn't see over its shoulders.

Great time had by all!

Gnarly handloading is something I need to get back into.I use to be real heavy into it. I really need to reload with the cost of 454 Casull rounds. You are right English Labs are sweet, He is huge at 125 pounds. He sleeps in our bed at night along with my Puggle and my wife's Pomeranian.Love animals both as pets and the wild ones as food.
 
dogs in bed.. ugh... apparently you have a king size bed.. my dane/retriever mix isn't allowed in our bedroom, let alone the bed.. he's big, sloppy, drooly, spastic, & barky.. I'd get no sleep between the 2yr old and beating my dog every other hour.. :)

sunday.. raining.. grey.. about to do some work and see if I can swing a new knife soon :D

gnarly, wth are you building? a man cave? speaker wire?? amish? where any amish abused in the making of that workshop? :E
 
Just checking in for a second, I have been out grinding and can barely feel my hands. Ice in the grinding bucket... need to build shop. brrrr...
 
BigCountry, I'm glad to hear it was a good weekend!

Gnarly, Rack System, huh... sounds cool! That is a really nice way to do them.
