Afternoon men.Good luck getting that done Xander. Daniel we have been lucky it has not snowed in a while. Been having upper 30's for temps which is weird for us it is usually freezing and tons of snow.So I take every day with out snow as a blessing!
 
Yeah I will try for sure! Too funny, your daytime highs are what the overnight lows are here! Big storm coming tomorrow, though...

Day off for me today, and I get to spend every minute of it in the shop! Coming to a close on that slipjoint, and hopefully it will be sitting on the bench with the epoxy drying tonight!

I guess it is finally winter here! It has been cold lately, highs of maybe 32-34. Still not too bad although I have been doing a lot of snow removal, I even got my plow stuck today., lol! The new shop roof has been shedding all the snow! I am happy about that.

Evening men.It is suppose to be getting really cold here this weekend with a high of 10 degrees.If you add some wind to that and you will be way down in the negatives!
 
Morning y'all. Well the rain strom has moved on and it is supposed to be a high of 63* today. Should be nice the rest of the week!

No shop time for me today, its my birthday and the wife says I need to be in the house, not burried out there with my headphones on. I didn't get a whole lot of progress on the slipjoint the other day, when I cut the scale material it curled up on me, so I had to straighten in out with clamps and heat, then let it sit for a few hours. So I made a new edge cover sheath for a hatchet my dad likes, and put a new edge on it as well.

Daniel, closing in on the due date, right? Should be only 3 weeks from now? All the best bud!

Happy B-day Xander. Not going to ask how old.I think I am the old one on Daniel's forum. I can not believe my oldest will be 30 this year. Dam where did the time go? Hope you guy's have a great one!

Thanx for the well wishes guys! Just got home from work, started dinner and am about to start on my second brew. 29 today, same birthday as James Dean! Got a friend rom work coming over and she is bringing her 2 year old daughter to play with my son while we all eat and drink!

I am using somthing similar to horn, but I will wait to reveal it until it proves it can work well.

Morning men. Xander you were born a year before I went in the Marine Corps.Daniel how is the shop coming? should be close to finished now as hard as you have been working on it.My wife got us tickets to Gabriel Ingleasies for March 2nd in Green Bay, Wisconsin.There are 9 of us going and we have all the seats together.It will be a blast!
 
Morning men. Had a blast last night, good food, good beer, great company and awesome music! Only thing that could of been better is if the wife and I both didn't have to get up early today for work. Oh well, feelin great today anyways! Something about a nice close shave to make a man feel good for the whole day. Sasquatch Fairly I am sure has no clue what I am talking about!

Oh, Daniel, you may actually have to start shaving when the baby comes home, their skin is so sensitive your stubble will cause them to get a rash of sorts from just touching it. I wore a goatee for years and had to shave it for the first 6 months or so because he would get all red and bumpy from me kissing him! Maybe you'll get lucky and yours won't be as sensitive, but it is something to think about!

Congrats Daniel on the baby. Thursday is my last day of work since my wife is due on the 17th. But forget that shaving stuff, I have to shave every day for work, so while I'm off with the baby my goatee is growing like mad. Lol
 
Hey Thanks and Congratulations! Our kids will be almost the same age, cool!

I have been busy with the shop and knifemaking. I have spent the last few days sanding and epoxying the shop floor and working on the CPM-3V Pocket Fighters. I'm about to go quench them in a minute, they have been soaking at 1950F for nearly 30 minutes now. After that I am doing a sub zero quench and temper cycles.
 
Morning guys. Expecting it t be clear nd in the high 60's to low 70's today! Too bad I have to work, I just want to be outside enjoying the weather.

I almost feel bad for you guys in the snow...:p

Lol! I'm supposed to go snowboarding some time this year! That used to be my motivation but yeah, winter sucks!

I have my in laws coming in today so we have been working around the house. I did get a full day in the shop yesterday, the first in a while so that is great! I have been waiting on epoxy to cure for the last few days as I did the floor in 2 parts, I'll be able to move my work benches back in once it fully cures then back on the drywall! It won't be long, I predict I have about a week of work if it goes well. :D
 
Morning men. Without saying a whole lot I am now officially retired!!!! I have been determined 100 % disabled from my service connected disabilities. Now to get my retirement from the state. All I can say is I always loved my job as a Lieutenant in the prison and only really carred that all my staff went home safe each day! Been off work for 10 months and it has been hard to deal with but I am just looking at it as the next chapter.

Morning guys, the in laws got lost and are coming in this morning, lol! We are awaiting their arrival then it's back to work.

I'm getting a bunch of scales glued up here soon, it's going to be cool. I also have a new addiction, vintage micarta! I just scored some antique ivory micarta that just looks killer.
