Thanx Daniel. The best part about it is I have zero cost in the materials! I have already got offers to buy my work and requests for rescales, but until I get my name in orange I am trying to keep it off site. Send me one of your razors Daniel, I'll get it all done up for you and you can heat treat that Kiridashi for me.

Cool but I would owe you more than that! Send me a few to HT ...your work is awesome

I bet you get a lot of requests, I probably get an email every day for a "pimping" job. Your scale work is incredible, you have a really nice touch for it.

I hope you get a knifemakers membership soon!

Afternoon men.Been trying to get used to this new computer.

Good afternoon Sir. Get used to that computer! I have two and the keyboards are sized differently, I just can't learn to type right between the two!

I appreciate that Daniel, you've always had kind words about my work. Maybe a colaboration in the future? Your style really pulls me into new directions, I have always liked thin, light knives and you combine heft with a certain simple style that really works. I have been wanting to work on that tanto lately but I keep getting new idea everytime I think I settle on one! I'm getting close, though. I have lots of projects to finish up sitting on the bench, but these razors are quick and easy for me and turn a good profit for the amount of work. Looking to make enough from them to buy some new power tools. Its been tough doing the work I am with a non-reversible disc grinder and a HF 1x30 and cheap belts. I guess it just makes practice for when I get a proper grinder.

Send me one razor to start, I'll do it up the best I can and send it back and you decide if its worth it for you to HT more of my work for me. Maybe I can get Kevin (fbc) to get some done in real steel and stop fiddlin with factory folders, and send those to you as well. I told him we'll build him a 2BF, I have all the extra materials, but maybe this will get him motivated!

Seriously, shoot me an email.

Good morning folks. Xander is right it is time for me to stop buying factory folders and start making my own stuff more.My wife sat up in bed a few nights ago and said out of the blue "Kevin, you have to stop buying knives" she was dead asleep! I guess she was having a bad dream:D I told her about it the next day and we had a good laugh. hope y'all have a great day!

Good afternoon all. Been a while since I've checked in. 20-something days of work in a row :barf:. Just got home and am scrambling to pack for our Yosimite hike. Worn out before I'm even started, but it will be fun passing out the DFK Ti kneckers tomorrow. :D

I'll catch up with some photos when I get back. See y'all in 10 days or so...

Man, it seems like everyone I talk to is goin to Yosemite this weekend! If you pass through town, hit me up and we can grab a beer and fight for the tab with our DFK's!

OK that is too funny. I had to rest after laughing that hard, lol.

Switch to just handmade, they cost more so you won't buy so many!!! :D You could just buy mine. :D :D :D Opinels are cool too! lmao

Afternoon men! hope you all have a great Sunday!

I hope you are having a good one BigCountry!

:D

It was a tough weekend at the grinder, tough but good. I have some big bills to pay including burying a power cable to my shop/final inspection so I am just working every day until I can pay it off... I only have a couple of months to do it.

50 knives in the works, no joke! I had to make a new area just to hold my works in progress. I have a bunch of keychain tools in progress as well, new stuff all the time!

Hey hey hey!

.... still laughing at FBC's comment!

lunchtime here, I have already gotten a ton done! have a good one guys.

Good morning men.
I am having trouble getting the blade on a rat 1 to center after I took it apart . IT IS MAKING MY BRAAAAAAAIIIIIN HURT!!!!!!!! Any of you guys have any ideas that might help?It seems that the liner lock is pushing the blade over.

Try mixing around the standoffs, that should not happen. I wonder if they all measure exactly the same size like they probably should?

Folders make my brain hurt too, the designing of them has turned into a very addictive "game" I play in my free time. It is like the best video game ever, lol. I had no idea how much there is to it, I will have an idea, yesterday I moved a stop pin around and it took me a few hours to get everything right in the design.

I have memorized a few chapters from Bob Terzoulas book on liner locks, lol... that book is awesome. There is a whole chapter on lock geometry, it rules! :D

I have a knife for you FBC! T.B.O.K. LHG! LOL OMG LMAO

Ok...

I have been messing with the stonewash on it, it is looking good! I need to sharpen it and put the hardware on the sheath but it is essentially done. :D

Posting from the shop here, I just tried doing some grinding from a stool, it was cool. I rounded the edges on keychain tools and started finishing the flats to get them ready to ht. I plan on bouncing around on several projects, that's how I have been doing it lately, I enjoy it a lot that way.

Afternoon guys, got a little work done on the acrylic razor scales today before work. All buffed out and drilled. One more final polish on them and its time to work the wedge in.

Check it out...
