Good morning ! I have just enough time to work on my knife project before I have to go to work today . I hope all is well with everyone.

I just got the internet back, yay! We had a storm yesterday and I think lightning took it out.

Much knife work has been done! :D
 
Fished all day today. Did a little catching too. And beer... Vacation is almost over and I don't feel like getting back to the real world. I guess it's always that way at the tail end of a trip. Hmm. One more beer.

Morning men.Hope you all have a great Wednesday.I have to take my youngest in for shoulder surgery in the morning. The can not do it with a scope they have to cut her from arm pit to collar bone.It will be a long day tomorrow.

Daniel, do you ever get to even see Jade?! Seems like your every moment is at the grinder! :p. We're potty training Zyler right now, he's finally getting it! We tried a few months ago and he wasn't ready yet, but now he sure likes his race car underwear! Maybe I'll send you the extra diapers we'll have left over. Any other baby stuff you guys need?

Yup. Born and raised fly fishing elk hunting elk up here. Wolves are so bad now though that my dad didn't fill his bull tag last season. First time in 42 years he didn't get meat. We saw some sign, but this is my first year I haven't seen even a cow elk. City folks think the wolves are not a problem because they see lots of deer. But that's because they all are down around the towns for safety. Saw fresh mountain lion tracks down by the creek this morning. An owl glided a few feet over my head last night. Nice to be back in the woods I must say. Way to many people in the bay area for my comfort, but ya gotta make a living, and work was always scarce up here, and it's worse now.
 
Just wanted to thank all of you men for the smoke.It means a lot to me and my family!!!!Crewbot Montana is my dream place to live.I had a job lined up and everything back in 92.My wife did not want to move that far from family and she was pregnant with our 3rd child at the time.I am going to get out there for an elk hunt one of these days soon!!!!

I don't see her enough! I am trying hard to get caught up here... still paying bills from last winter and I must get a trench dug for my shop's electric in a month or two... crunch time.

That is wild stuff, predators are taking over! Back home my parents are over ran by wild pigs and coyotes. Here... Sasquatch.

Good on ya Daniel for treating your knifemaking like a job, even if you are at home. I know how tough it can be to work from home, I used to bring tons of work home with me and the wife didn't get it that I was still working!

Man, you guys talking about rain, we got a heat wave right now. Been a decent one too, most consecutive days over 100* since 2009. I think today will be day 4 with a few more to go. Hell of a time for the A/C in my truck to go out, good thing I barely drive anymore!

Wow that's hot!

It is ranging from the low 50's to 100F within a 5 mile radius from my house! 50's at night of course. Odd weather!

It's hot right now, I had not realized how much heat my grinder motor puts off until recently.

I need to find an Aluminum heat sink for my platen, you could fry eggs on it at times, no joke!

I re-arranged my platen setup's wheels with the contact wheel on top and roller on the bottom, I had been grinding handles mostly on the roller and now it is 100% easier to get them right. So nice! :D

:D I just tossed a 40 gallon bag full of used belts! :D I'd trade that for a stack of highly polished .315" D2 tantos any day! :cool:

Mail day today, I am getting many knives out!
 
F this heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the ac at home was still going at 10pm still over 80 at 10 pm WTF!! On a more cheery note I started moding a couple of rat 1's yesterday I think they will come out awesome I will post a pic when I am done. have a good one everybody. Big, I hope you and your daughter are doing well!

I have been super busy (about 300 hours in the last month) and I haven't been keeping up the forum as well as I should but the knives... they are looking darn good!
 
Afternoon men.THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THE SMOKE AND PRAYERS!!!! She is doing well.She has to have her arm in a sling for 6 months.The doctor showed us video of him being able to take her shoulder out of socket with 1 finger. It is going to be a long recovery. I sure am glad I have good insurance.
