Morning y'all.

Was supposed to have a new employee start today, buuuuuut they decided to no show no call:mad::thumbdn:

So, I'm stuck scrambling to get coverage and my work done on my single busiest day of the week, my two biggest deliveries come in today.

Ugh, gonna need a beer or 3 after work.


On the flip side, got off early yesterday, spent some time in the shop and with the boy. Got a riser link made for the AR. Makes cleaning so much easier. Even made a toggle pin for it from scratch, lol. Could have driven to the hardware store and bought two for the amount of time I have in this one! But the boy was having a good time with me in the shop.

Where's Liam been??? Probably buried in snow or sniffing developer chemicals....lol!

Ugh, looks like I'm the one who is going to have to work a split shift today. Why we keep hiring students with no availability, I have no idea. When things like this happen, nobody can cover because of school schedules.

Don't think the new employee is employed any longer either....


Ugh, guess I'll just have to limit myself to 1 beer on my 4 hour lunch break.

I picked up an Iroquois War Club today. These things are deadly-cool. Anybody have one?

I found what many call a Navajo or Apache war club (granite part only) here while rock collecting... just sitting out in the open on a rock ledge. i have a pic somewhere... these where actually used for crushing grains/bones for marrow but talk about cool... probably 3-4 pounds and perfect.

Thanks for the input on the embellishment thread too guys! I was considering some false bolsters milled in today.
 
Hmmm no war club.. I might start my own war club though...

I have a jade Maori mere (pronounced almost like merry) from an old New Zealand vacation. And I think I asked Daniel to make a steel mere with krypto scales, but maybe I just wanted to and never have.. If that is the case, DANIEL I WANT A STEEL MERE WITH KRYPTO SCALES :) MY IDEA MOFOS (who ever might be a mofo)

I think this Mere needs to be L7. If the scales are Krypto how you gonna sneak up on fooes in the dark?
 
Rolf, no Iroquois clubs out here, it's all Mi-Wuk. Tuolumne tribe locally. So lots of arrow heads, spear and grinding stones. Though I have heard they hunted animal with clubs, seems a lot of work for anything bigger than a rodent.

Sloth, let's get some custom war clubs going!

Work just sucks today....ugh.

G'morning everyone. No sun, but in the 30s today, so I'll take it. Finally starting to feel a bit better from my RSV -> Bronchitis fun.
 
Hey Liam, bronchitis sucks. Luckily, I've only ever had it twice when I was young. My son had a lung infection a couple years ago, that was no fun to deal with.

Brushed/Working Finish (Base Price), Acid Washed, Satin, a choice of CPM3V or CPMS30V steel, Japanese (Tsuka Maki) Cord Wrap over Cord, Carbon Fiber Upgrade... starting at $150 and going up to $250 with all upgrades. Sheath and shipping included as always. Any thoughts?
