Good morning guys!

Xander - what is that! I thought a knife at first... we need to see more!

I'm about to apply a whole bunch of carbide and grind some carbon fiber! I'm cranking up the wet saw too...

What's the wet saw for cutting the carbon fiber?

Man we had a baby 1 month ago and I have not worked on knives at least that long....all I have done was spending money on buying supplies to make my first framelock!

Yes, CF, G10 and the likes. I already had it for cutting rocks up (an older profession of mine) and it works great on handle materials. It cost about as much as a nice bandsaw blade or two. The inexpensive diamond blades it uses last a while when treated well. Mine is a Workforce from Home Depot, it has been great.

Congratulations on your new baby! It is tough to get going I'll say that.

Framelock supplies - I used to be in the jewelry business and we got larger packages for the money! lol Your design is looking great, I can't wait to see it in action!

Morning!

Daniel, it is a knife! Just putting a new handle on a Henkels chef knife. Fitting those scales is interesting...grind, test, grind, test.... using Lacewood and brass pins.

Back to work today. Be sure and be nice to that special someone today!

Thanks, not had much sleep in the last month but soon as she gets a little older it will get better and I can get after it.

Having a child... "Life as you know it, will never be the same.
Suck it up!!!!
:D
COLD here in PA but hey... it's winter.

Xander the Henckels is going to be cool! Tricky handle to do also. I can't wait to see it complete!

Justin - not much sleep but well worth it! ...but you need sleep to work around machinery, lol! It is a good time for design though.

Stay warm up there Rolf! It has been warmish here during the day and my driveway is one solid slab of ice. I'm about to get some spiked shoes going, lol.

Here's another design for you guys to check out... it's inspired by traditional Bowie knives with a whole lotta new school DFK. :D The construction will have a very clean look externally with a highly skeletonized interior.

You have a knack for folder designs, Daniel!
It was below zero last night. The wind is the killer but our house is protected by 7 Notch Ridge and a Fisher wood stove.
Stay warm, bit-chez!!
:D

That design looks sweet! I would like to see it with a tad more drop or flare where your pinky would be(if that makes sense) but just my 2 cents and thoughts when I first seen it......please don't take it the wrong way as your stuff always turns out killer so what the heck do I know :)

lmao every time I think of "Say Anything" when the kid says "Bit-chez Man" :D

That's cold Rolf! I'm actually hoping for snow here... but not too much!

Thanks on the folder too!

Lol, its gonna be in the 70's today!

Morning y'all!

Thanks Justin!

I like the idea for the butt area, that may give me a bit more room for the blade and more standoffs/spacer area too. I had the design "finalized" and dropped it a bit already but I think it could use some more... I'm going to add some more flare and see how it looks!

I'm always very open to any feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to contribute.

I alwayls liked the finish on your folders. But to mention someone else. I like the works of Peter Rassenti too.
You too are great examples that sometimes "less is more". A gentleman folder on the other hand is a different category. But for a knife what i youse every day, keep it simple and clean, Usually i use my knives as a tool, so they sohould look like a tool too.

Mornin' fellers!

Started the truck early today. It bitched and moaned the whole time, displaying 0° F on the dash. Funny how that number didn't change by the time I got to work.

Keep warm! I'm actively avoiding the basement and in-turn, the workshop, because of this weather. It's so cold!

Morning guys!

It's Monday again. Another day, another dollar. You guys back east are getting hammered hard with this cold! I saw that Philadelphia was -15° last night, Boston was crazy at like -40°F. I don't even know how to function in weather like that!

Make it great!
