Hey guys!

Got the little Zebco 33 from eBay yesterday, it was a little worse inside than I had hoped, but it cleaned up really well and with fresh grease and oil runs like a top! The boy is super excited too! I really like this little rig, might just make one up for me too.

Xander that is a classic combo, very nice choice. I had a few of those... was a fishing maniac back in the day with 3 ponds on the farm.

Time for fishing soon! I want to make a rod one day.
 
It's a good little combo!

My dad makes custom rods, it's not hard. I'll have to snap some pics of his cradle for doing the wrappings. He bought a cheap rotisserie motor from eBay for letting the epoxy cure evenly too. Now a split bamboo rod would be a lot of work!

Been snowin' all morning, but it's not laying. I think it's too warm for this stuff. Why won't it go away? :(
 
it won't go away because you are on the EAST COAST.. duh. :D

I wore no jacket or pullover/hoodie yesterday.. high 60s... need to mow the lawn again! O_O I guess it is March.. (though we're expecting rain most of the weekend and next week.)

Rolf, I am not a drummer, but I do drum occasionally.. bongos, djembes, and doumbeks. I pretty much suck compared to anyone who is a real drummer, but I am better than your run of the mill hippy at a drum circle :D

Very clean design! I assume if the detent strong enough that lil flipper tab will do just fine and it should fly out like a rocket.
 
Nice Xander! I'm going to try and take Owen out Saturday morning for a couple hours before his guitar class. He's pretty excited too (almost as much as I am).
