Thanks guys! All four of us are sick and it has not been a load of fun. We are trying to get some rest this evening! :)

I've been organizing the shop so that is good. ..Watching milling and forging videos and learning a ton.


Rolf I hope the snow has let up, that is rough!
 
Hey fellas!

Daniel here's one of my dad's rod building cradles. The two V supports and the bobbin slide freely back and forth. The bed is hinged so you don't have to store a 6' long piece of equipment. Everything still slides when it's folded too.

Thanks for posting that Xander! That is a really nice setup. I have always wanted to make a matching folder/rod combo in Ti and CF.

It's my weekend!!! Best part is that today is a shipment day and I haven't had a Wednesday off in years! Ha! You have no idea how stoked I am to not be dealing with this shipment today!

:D You know it! I'm really excited about the new press! Jake at www.fiberpress.com has really been generous and the press looks incredible. Look out for a review soon!

No more messy plywood press and epoxied c-clamps! I'm even more excited to get back into making my own laminates.
 
Ooo, I need to see what the employee discount is for epoxy through my new job! If I get a decent discount I'm buying a gallon. They also sell 5 gallon drums of epoxy as well as having 55 gallon drums available too!! I didn't ask during the interview, I go in sometime next week to start my paper work, I'll ask then.

The kid went berserk this morning. We will try a new med tonight.
My truck died.

I once bought a rum bottle of polyester resin from a machete carrying angry rasta guy in the Caribbean... funny story. He had a 55 gal drum and wasn't too happy to answer questions.

Rolf that's rough! I'be been having that sort of day myself...

Galvanic corrosion or flinstone floorboard? Sometimes you can hard wire the grounds if it galvanic but I once lost a really nice car to that. That sucks!

Good on the snow, you guys deserve a break. Just know we are thinking of you guys and hoping for the very best.
 
Lol, good thing about Cali, we just have to worry about melted road tar getting flung on the car in the heat of summer!

Rolf, hope it gets better for you! Any word on the collapsed wing of the house?

New, well used truck, being scouted right now. I have the dog, I need the truck. :D I think the road salt did 'er in.

And, I had to lock up ALL my knives again, this time it'll be for awhile!

I'm not even sure it would make it down the road to my place... one speedbump and a pothole would do it in.
