Morning y'all!

8 days. ...

Thanks Rolf!

Xander - has the rabbit busted out any eggs? Don't discount this, they hide them well.

The ladies are off to see the Easter Bunny and I'm cutting up Kydex. :D Sheaths are back on today!

I've been following the tracking on my mill for entertainment purposes, lol it gets moved somewhere every few hours but not closer to me. I assume they are taking it on a tour, I told them I want pics! Right now I assume the mill is at the Big Texan polishing off a 72 oz steak... :D

Daniel- cha. :D If can't use them, they will make a nice wall decoration.
Cute rabbit, Xanadoo!
raisins... you guys.
:D

I bet they will get plenty of use! Much appreciated Rolf!

I'm evaluating a burner for Atlas Knife Company, the owner was kind enough to send me one to review. The burner is on the way soon and most of my supplies are in! I can't say enough about the help I get here.

Charles does good work and has gone through several design revisions over the years with his burners. I still want one of his mini forges. I need to get a set up for running off a big propane bottle, but need a larger forge for doing that.

Daniel, do some searching around your areas bigger cities, don't know if that includes Farmington or not, but look for heavy equipment repair shops and steel fab shops. Often times a broken forklift tine can be used as an anvil, or a 3" diameter hydraulic ram or axle too. Doesn't have to be a 4" square post. Lots of options. But I will say get as big and heavy as you can.

I saw a pretty cool stump someone took and used a chainsaw (it's like a gas powered axe Rolf) to cut an upside down "T" in the top to slide the bottom half of a RR anvil into. A couple of long carriage bolts through it and it was good to go.

STOP TALKING ABOUT FORGING!!!! You are making me want to buy more stuff! :D But...wait.. If I had a forge, I could forge a forge!
Don't listen to me he's crazy!
Last post tonight I promise. :p

Good evening guys, having dinner with my lady for my bday. Long day of bbq and made successful carne asada, 4lbs gone.

On a knife related note, my best friend got me a benchmade 530 cause he remembered I liked it a while back.

What's up guys. Daniel I agree with flatbackcapo you keep talking about forging and I keep browsing forge supplies! I think im going to build a small one just to play around with. I have all the pipe and steel to make one and a mig welder at work. Thinking of just using some sch 40 6" pipe and making it simple will just have to source the ceramic blanket and some satinite, let me know who has a good price on that stuff.

Also it's my birthday wohoo 33 today!
Have a good Easter guys!

Happy belated MrDrewbear, Happy Birthday Justin, and Happy Easter to Everyone. Off to work.

thanks for looking out for me X! Yes Farmington is the "big city" in this region and I'm always on their Craigslist looking. The flea market has started too I'm sure. Farmington is a oil and gas town so I keep looking for gear... got my first grinder there. The hydraulic parts get me thinking... plus I need to see what the scrapyard has.

Happy Birthday! Enjoy the day Justin!

Sounds great on the forge, check out High Temp Tools for supplies. You might need a bit larger forge body but if you use 1" inswool that will be good. Cover it with Satanite then a coat of ITC-100. This forge is really cool --> http://www.rayrogers.com/miniforge.htm

I'm getting a blown burner kit from HTT as that is the cheapest way to buy the pipe fittings and the burner sounds top notch. I'm also getting their regulator setup... looked a ton and sounds like the best long term option.(it's really kickass setup!)

I wound up spending enough to just buy a premade forge but mine is going to be better than anything commercially available!

Happy belated MrDrewbear, Happy Birthday Justin, and Happy Easter to Everyone. Off to work.

Happy Easter and have a great day!

Happy Easter.
Happy Birthday.
Happy forging, Daniel.

Happy Easter Rolf! I hope things are going well for you.

Happy Easter, folks!

Hey Bobby! Happy Easter!

Have a great Easter everyone!
