Afternoon/evening fellas!

Got a couple new pens today, a Rotring 600 fountain pen and a Parker 45 fountain pen! Got them in trade from a fb friend in the PI. I'm stoked about the Rotring, always loved those pens!

Also got lucky today and found the gunpowder I wanted in stock locally and bought the last pound they had. Got a silhouette match this weekend, need to get a dope chart made for this load too. Kinda going into this match last minute and not fully prepared, but what fun is it otherwise?! Lol! 500 meters is a long way out there, should be a fun match!

Also picked up almost an entirely new reloading setup, scored a deal I couldn't pass up on a new Hornady press, so converting all my stuff over to it.

Having fun and loving every minute of it!

Maybe Daniel can make me an AR15 inspired knife to go with it :D

I LOVE the Rotring 600 series. I carry a 600 2mm drafting pencil, and used to have a 600 Tri as my daily (blue/red/pencil) - I need to find some replacement parts for those (I have 2 of them, but neither is fully functional at the moment).

Sounds like you are having a blast with your more predictable schedule.

X- tiramisu is my favorite, I'm jealous!

Mine too, glad I convinced the wife to start making it from scratch! I just be sure to buy the marscapone cheese for her! This time she learned her lesson, she made a full 9x13 pan of it!!:D

Yeah the 600 series is nice, but I really want an 800 2mm lead holder. If the 600 is the Cadillac of pens, the 800 is the porsche! I still want to custom turn a 3.5mm and 5mm lead holder, but need the whole pen turning kit and mandrel for it. 3 specially since I now have access to all kinds of plastics for free! Speaking of which, I just brought home about 6 or 7 yards of fiberglass cloth they were throwing away! Ends of the rolls and such.

Dude, you have no idea how much this schedule change means to me! I get to be part of my own family again! The latest I get home is 6:00pm and this week I'm off at 4:30 all week! I've been in a much better mood everyday, no stress, great coworkers, and really enjoying it again!

The Rotring is soon to be inked and a favorite for sure!

Nice scores! Those are really cool.

Good stuff on the schedule too X!

Tiramisu is tasty, I have made a ton of it when I was a Baker. That sounds like something fun to make at home...

Justin the Porcinis look just like a dinner roll on the top and have pores instead of gills... very easy to ID but only found at elevation. I found a bunch a few years back but did not eat any until I took an ID class last summer. I'm still enjoying some we dried.

AR Knife... :D cool! MOA at arms length too.

I finished my dedicated tapping machine yesterday as the Tapmatic came in! Pics later... it's super cool!

I also have the final parts I needed for my disc sander coming in so that will be done soon!

...still need to build a gantry to lift my mill.

Fired my second coat of refractory on my mini forge...

Large forge body is in! Thanks again to Rick at RMOK Knives!

Casting mold, check! yep

Time to go to work!

X, it makes such a huge difference when you enjoy your job, doesn't it?
D, casting mold??!! What cha got planned? Is it top secret?

Casting mold - I bought really simple reversible ingot mold, it will make 3"x2" bars 1/8" thick and just about anything under that size... also 4 sizes of wire 3" long to work or draw longer.

I want to make my own Shibuichi alloy to use on knives and jewelry... also can melt most any scrap into bars to work. I'm probably gong to get a bigger mold if I have good luck with the process.

I've been wanting this since my very first Kogotana... Shibuichi Kozuka! (lol copper/silver alloy handles)

Howdy... bit-chez.
I misplaced that 01!!!
Kev- Daniel struck first. If he backs out, I'll SELL it to you. :D

Yo! I've been busy today... break time for a second.

No steel smelting... yet! :D Check out that video link I posted a page or two back, I have a mold that is very similar. They are only $15-35... mine was $25 and looks really quality. You need a few other things... flux, tongs, crucible, heat source, carbon stirring rod. Rolf sent me the tongs and I decided it was on! I am making the crucible (melting container) myself out of refractory clay just because I can.

Mail day today... watch out! :D

I can almost hear the pounding of a hammer on metal. :D
About the 01. We had an auctioneer come to the house yesterday and he might have grabbed that bar of 01 by mistake. If I get it back, I will send it to you, Daniel.
RockOn!!

Good mornin' y'all!
Rolf, izzzzzzz alllllll goooooood.
Daniel, the Shibuichi ( I had to look it up :o ) sounds shweeeeet!

Hey guys!

Rolf no worries on the steel! Whatever will be good!

Kevin it sounds cool right!

Hey Xander!

Big day here... lots done! Time for a beverage!
