Sooo, looks like I do have to work tomorrow and have Sun-Mon off. Still not bad.

Just brought home some scrap of bullet resistant acrylic I'm going to play with at the range :D

I picture a forged Japanese style blade, rabbet tang with the traditional singe tang pin.

I'm off to buy a hoist! I've watched lots of videos and read how to unload the mill... (there is even a website for it) after staring at it quite a lot I know I need the mechanical advantage. I got it out of the truck and into the shop myself, not bad for almost 400# but it was pretty easy to slide around.

Too far to lend a hand.

Another glorious day! Up early for some truck maintenance. Gonna hit the Ford dealer to see if I can get new tailgate bushings, get it washed, then run to a local client who has some problems.

:D I could get some help but even with 4 people there is just no good place to grab it and it is top heavy like crazy. I could take it apart but this will be super easy... $40 and I get a cool hoist.

Ran some Seafoam through the truck! Left a huge white smokescreen in my wake on a back road. It was pretty intense. Helping those Amish Ninjas train!!!

A hoist sounds cool! Lots of fun mechanical things to buy. Big ol man toys!

D you should have some PP waiting for ya! I love this knife! Very sharp, both in utility and appeal. Gonna need a matching Santoku sometime! :)
 
Welp, I traded in the Nissan and am now a .... Ford owner.. strange and unusual.. out of 8 cars/trucks/vans in my life, this is the 3rd American made. And this one was actually built in America, more strange!

Kid has a soccer game O_o time for coffee and something with 60g of sugar :D

D, hope to see this hoist in action! Be careful! Easy does it like Rolf :D
 
Ford truck. I had a Nissan Frontier crew cab 2007. Now I have a Ford F150 super crew ecoboost Lariat plus O_O

Rolling on dubs! lol I really like it, I was surprised.. 3 instense days of research and back and forth...
 
Ford is good. I just got a Dakota and... helped a friend move. 8 hours!!!!! One more load tomorrow morning and done!!

Wacky... I just read about the seafoam today. My snowplow truck (1987 S10 Blazer) will not start and I have ran every diagnostic test I know of and then some. This newer gas just turns to jelly quick.

PP in! And that is great to hear! My Deba has that grind and it took me a while to get used to after using conventional knives... but is now my favorite slicer. I never let anything touch the board besides the tip on occasion and it just stays scary sharp. Onions no longer wilt, fruit stays looking fresh... clean cutting action!

Sounds cool on the truck! I will fix up my '62 Ford this summer... at least get it going!

Will do on the hoist! I have to slap together a gantry and am just in with the hoist... looks super quality for what it is.

I have so much going on right now it is kind of silly... lots coming together soon!

Who wants a really cool Sterling Silver bracelet? :D I bought a huge piece of bar... 2 ounces to bend, heat, quench, and carve! Bigger than any bracelet I have sold and I used to do it for a living. I got the largest piece the store had and actually gathered a small crowd as the piece was cut! lol I go all out. I plan on lots of carving and probably 30 quench cycles to get everything right.

ECOBOOST is the smaller displacement engine, 3.5l v6, but twin-turbocharged. I was actually amazed at it's performance: 365-hp / 420 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 in 6.6secs.. A full second faster than my midsized 4.0l v6 MUCH lighter Nissan frontier... Best towing in class, truck of the year (again)... so yeah it is gooood...

Plus, I have a few nice options.. rear factory lockers, over sized wheels/tires, heated and AC seats, sway correction, and Amp Research power step to name a few.. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A45w7FXX-28) <--- not my truck, that is a super cab, not full size crew. The power step is sweeeet. :D

It's a 2012 with 20k miles. Now to sell a few more knives to cover a canopy and extra warranty..

So I've been joy riding around the past 2 days eating up gas with my heavy foot :)
