Thanks Rolf! I use it a lot... bu I need to dig it back up and put into regular rotation.

Sloth I think the Holey Frickie was #3, I made a silver twill and Ti one off for the second one.

Emerson... with Ti DFK clip! :D This knife rocks... thanks Ben!

I might ano the clip a dark color, not sure yet, It works very well.

I was captured by aliens and was like "hey dudes let's make some knives!". We used some Ti from the snack bar...

Up for sale tomorrow!

You need to make me a Red #1.
NICE frikky!! Got the mill going? :D

Sounds good!

Thanks! That was done a little ways back on the older mill but the new mill is going. :D I have 3 sets of RF2 parts siting on the ways right now... next project!

Nice, ^!!
Hi Bobby, down there. :D
Daniel- Please dunt burn-out!! The Sky is the Limit, for you!!
Hi DFerz.

Justin - that is looking top notch! I really like the stainless and the design looks really nice. I'm finding myself wanting a welder on my large forge build, good looking work!

Hi DFerz.

No burn out here but I have been looking at my production numbers and almost feel like I need to explain some things... setting up all of this new gear has taken some time but it is mostly these latest knives taking a good while! Lots of detail work.

I can't hide from you!

Bought a house!

Congratulations!!! That's cool!

Time for another Wa handle today and hopefully some pics! I have the frickie, a 240 Gyuto in Ironwood and the first veggie peeler ready.

The veggie peeler is literally hair popping sharp and actually scares me handling it. I used some rubber bands to hold the blade in the Wa handle for glue up and when I carefully set it down the rubber band released from the pommel and shot my hand up to the heel area... I'm glad the heel has a nice fit as if it cut me I would have been in the hospital for sure.

Oh man! More kitchen knives! :D

*edit* And thanks!

This place will be > 3x what we have now. Completely remodeled. Can't wait to have some actual space. It does mean the workshop is down for 2 months D:

Thanks! This 240 is really nice, it is a really versatile knife too. It's the largest knife I have taken to this level of finish, I filled an entire trash can with sandpaper over a few sessions.

Cool on the house! We are seriously looking for a new place right now. I hope you get the shop going quickly!

240mm? Makes that sucker longer the the Yanagi ba I got!

It's a kitchen sword! They seem large at first but when I was a Chef I used one as my main knife. They are the biggest seller with Chef's... it's my first one in this size as my others are 210 mm.

Fun facts! http://www.kampaibudokai.org/Script.htm

240 mm = 8 Sun

A Shaku is about one foot and there are 10 Sun to a Shaku.

Most Japanese style knives are measured this way (blade length only on kitchen knives). A tanto is roughly one Sun, a Wakizashi is 2 Sun and a Katana is 3 Sun.

That is the only available one for a bit but I'll be making more soon... I have several in progress.

I have two Wabochos (Santoku) going that are really nice and versatile, 180 mm blade so good on mid sized cutting boards. They have a plungless double grind.

I'm also going to use carbon fiber or micarta on most of my newer Chef's knives! I'll be sure to let you know when I do too. This one has been glued up for months, lol.

I wish all Emerson comes with DFK clip, looking good Daniel! Thanks for sharing the pic knowing you rocking it with pride mean a lot to me!
Wow that frickie....definitely alien stuff! :D

You need a clip... I can get you a clip! with polish... :D

Seriously though, if you have anything with that same hole spacing just let me know. I can make you a clip! :)

I carry the Emerson everywhere, it means a lot!

Thanks on the frickie too! More pics soon...

Morning guys!

Bobby, congrats brother!

Daniel you're killing it dude! That frikky is just awesome! Also, 240mm is a good length. My French chef is 12" blade and sometimes just a little too long, I think a 240 or 260 blade would be about perfect for everything.

Make it great fellas!
