Fake Sebenza Just sold on eBay.

Not a Sebbie owner......how do you know it's fake bro?? Curious.
Sucks that some poor dude got jacked like that.

Seems suspicious but what features stand out as fake?

The screws are the biggest give away. Sebenza's don't have a closed end on the screws.
Here is the back if my Carbon Fiber Inlay
Sebenza. Notice a difference?

Good catch. Interesting because there were a lot of people bidding on this.

The Damascus blade looks off as well. Here is one of mine. The blade in the eBay one the etching just stops. Doesn't look Authentic

Yeah, that one has the wrong screws in it for sure and the clip looks suspect, but it could just be the photo. Also the machining looks rough but it could just be a hard user with the wrong screws. Scary buying off ebay from unknows.

Looks like san mai damascus. Solid core with damascus sides. No idea if Reeve offers that.

I would only buy off eBay if the knife had all the extras. There isn't a birthdate card, box, cloth or any of the supplies Chris Reeve includes with each knife purchase.

This might work for Chris Reeve knives but don't use this criteria to buy a Microtech. Some of the Chinese fakes copy the boxes, literature, sheaths etc. down to the last detail.

Looking at both sides the machining doesn't match. Maybe it's the lighting, but one side looks brushed and the other looks stonewashed. There are way too many counterfeits out there to warrant paying hundreds for a CRK on ebay. Better to purchase from an authorized dealer.

The handle definitely looks like steel to me. The satin on it is also pretty bad looking.

I recall seeing a fake on eBay at one point with the card and box, so that is not always a good indicator. Upon close inspection you could tell they were not real.

This listing says clone, but I have seen the same knife sold as the real deal.

How are they able to openly sell a knife described as a clone on eBay? You would think (hope!) that ebay would cancel that users acct and not allow them back.
