Fake Sebenza Just sold on eBay.

On the fasteners on CRK folders. They used to have closed back, the term some are using,..But have changed to hex in both sides in the last several years.
You still find them in the previous variety, but not on the new generation folders. I believe the change was made around 2011 or so..

here it is next to yours

carefully notice the lock bar.... strong evidence it isn't legit just my opinion

My $.02?

There are a lot of VERY knowledgeable people in the CRK forum who are always willing to help. If anyone ever questions the authenticity of a CRK, start a thread over there. They can spot a fake a mile away. Please do your homework if you have any doubts.

Authentic Kevin John = fake Chris Reeve

Good deal on authentic KJ = bad deal on real Chris Reeve; it's not real

I reported this to eBay days ago... I'd assume many other did as well. Guess eBay doesn't care if many others did the same as long as they make their 10% or so

If these clowns in China would just make their own high end knife company and do their own thing they'd have a really good thing going for them. I'd GLADLY pay $100-150 for a unique, overbuilt folder instead of $28 for a fake sabenza.

Wow, I knew there was fakes on eBay but that's a boatload.

"B001643Chris Reeve CR Clone Sebenza21 D2 Blade Titanium Handle Folding EDC Knife"

since Chris Reeve Sebenza is a registered trade mark/name ... I think that the seller is in violation of the law even though he says it is a clone... He is still including a registered trade mark in the name of the knife he is selling

I just emailed the ebay link to CRK ...

Damascus and screws are definitely red flags. Luckily eBay has pretty good buyer protection policies. The buyer should be able to get their money back if they report it.

I think the moral of the story is if you're buying a used knife of that price, get detailed pics, pay via paypal goods and service and if they have no feedback stay far away...
People are trash at times and resort to very, very ugly methods. Glad you got your money back...

Actually the guy still sells like i stated and he has good feedback i dont know how and as i stated he had plenty of pics just not of the knife i recieved haha. Yea it was a crappy ordeal but i always pay paypal on the exchange and ebay. Its bad enough getting a fake knife worth 30 bucks but way worse having to eat a few hundred because you didnt protect yourself.
