Fall Becker East Gathering Pic Thread

Elbow is still hurting. The left is ok but the right is totally Brackened. Looking into some new treatment this week. The Gathering helped raise my spirits!

Have you tried Liquid MSM+ Glucosimine Condroitin ? It helps alot with joint issues. Also make sure that your intaking plenty of Zinc, as that helps your body properly regulate testosterone, which helps with muscle growth and healing.
I imagine they already hit you with Cortisone shots ? You might want to push the issue on a MRI or MRI with contrast. Normally pretty standard stuff helps clear up Tendinitis, if its not clearing up, it may be something else.
Hope it gets better man, I will keep you and Trigs in my thoughts. I know what its like to be a climber who cant climb.

Thanks man. Looking into all this stuff this week. Luckily, it did not prevent me from snapping a few more pics.

Here's the next generation Beckerhead.

Thought you might like this one Ethan.

AIG is always filming. The smoke in the background sorta reminds me of a scene from Apocalypse Now. LOL

Murph seems pretty happy about the new KA-BAR bottle opener.

My mom and sister swear that Glucosimine works well.

You can't come away from a gathering without picking up some sharp stuff.

Speaking of which, here is a TM Hunt Tradewater that Murph delivered to me at the Gathering. And a Ka-Barley bottle opener. I also managed to score a BK-15 in the swag drawing.
On Saturday night, I used the Tradewater to cut up Benton's bacon, dice a bunch of onion, and slice and chop all the sirloin. Giant mug was a gift from Todd. I think it holds a six pack or two.

Justabout a perfect combination in that pic.

Just needs a pipe and some Bracken! Gus, what sort of pipe were you smoking with the thick walled bowl? Is there a name for that pattern? I very much admired it.

that bush sword should hammer out

Like I said, I'm still amazed you guys were able to ride the Bracken.

Pipe was a squat bulldog style. Big fan of that shape. That particular pipe was from Boswell Pipes in the US. Quality is OK (compared to the multi-hundred dollar pipes) and it smokes great considering the cost.

While they don't do justice to the event, those of us that didn't make it greatly appreciate them! I will see ya'll in the spring!

"It comes in quarts?!?"

awesome yumama! Dang, love that blade.

Looks like a great time, sorry I couldn't make it. again.

So i am pretty dumb, brought my camera, never took it out of the bag. However i DID come home with a few things that made me happy.
I did get a chance to take a few pics once i got back and thought i would share.

first off, a stowaway i found on my cooler. This must be a tennesee spider. I think i'll call him Gutsy. cause ya know, he small and twitchy but i aint messing with him :P

now the knives

Special thanks to Uncle E for the 15 and Vik for selling me the izula 2.
although neither looks like these pics anymore. stripped the coating off the blades already and the blades have some apple cider vinegar patina going.

Seriously though, I had a blast. I am so happy I got to make it and meet so many people, some of ya'll i've talked to for YEARS and finally getting to meet in person was just a blast.

I have had an idea, I'm gonna make it to one of these gatherings and bring sacks of love crawfish. It is the only way

that bush sword should hammer out

I'm not worried. Honestly, I mainly just wanted some feedback on the design, which looks like it needs a little rethinking. At least I know the HT is good! The 3V versions should hold up even better, although I get the sense that I should still avoid chopping live trees and stick to dead wood. I appreciate y'all giving it a whirl and testing it out for me. Glad to see it did fine on the easier stuff, anyways.

These cats are excellent testers! They know how to use blades, they know what to look for, and they know how to identify problems and suggest solutions. They've helped me a lot

Put a little more meat on that shoulder. Thats alot of weight and speed for such a thin edge. Sure, thin cuts, but in something that size, I firmly believe the edge was too thin.

Well, I went to AIG's YouTube channel and found this year's video, titled "BK&T's 2013 BIG FALL ADVENTURE!" However, here's what it said when I clicked on the video:

"This video contains content from Warner Chappell and UMG, one or more of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

Gus, if it's not blocked in Canada, tell us if we look purty in the moving pictures.
