Fall Bush Bash 2011. Camping/Bushcraft Event. October 14-16. Sequoia NF, California.

Too bad you guys can't make it. However, it looks like we'll have a good sized group this year. At least 10 people, which works.
 
I'll try to be on-site before 10:00 am on Friday. I'll post a sign of some sort to a tree to brighten up the turn onto the dirt road.

Well...I don't know...two big freezer bags of chicken paws looks like more than enough. :barf: Hey, aren't chicken feet used in voodoo?

I should be out the door by 9:30 tonight. Going to spend the night in lovely lovely Bakersfield to avoid getting through LA tomorrow.
 
Just rolled in...that was a long haul. Had a great time and hope to be posting pics in a day or two. The challenge was a real challenge.
 
No problem Brian, there's always next time. You did miss out on some good grub and quality knife fondling.
 
Going to down load the pics later on today or tomorrow. First off I must say which im sure i said before, We got some of the best bunch of guys ever. Lots of laughs joking around sharing lots of good food. Between Johns peach cobbler and then scoons the next morning Which John was slaving over and working ohhhhhhh so hard. To Amy and Jason marrinaded chunk or meat that might have been the whole cow. Lets not forget the breakfast that Rick prepared for us bacon and eggs on a toasted bagel which was ohhhhhh soo good. That thing realy hit the spot. Im sure you know what i mean when you eat something and you know thats was just what the doctor ordered. If i had to go camping again i would enjoy the company of all you guys and gals. The best folks to spend the weekend with and a camp fire at night. Even my pup Bella had the best time she still just lays there in the corner with only her eyes moving, Too tired to lift her head. Hope her new BF Bear is doing better. Im already thinking about the next Bush Bash.. I shall keep you all posted on that one.
Oh and i forgot the best part of the weekend......... Coming home to take a hot shower...

I had a great time too. What a really good weekend. I had a long drive home followed by dinner and visiting with the family longer write up to follow...
 
Good times. Thanks everyone for bringing and sharing so much great food and friendship - I went home with my cooler 90% full. Will have some pictures up sometime soon.
 
And a public congrats to Nevada (Rick) for winning the shooting contest and scoring one of Ray's knives. Damn noob has some pistol skills. :)
