Favorite Bark River?

I on DLT's site and didn't see anything about "let's make a deal". Where does it say so? I"ve had my eye on some stuff over there for a while.

It was an e-mail offer.

Call there customer service in the morning and make an offer on the knife you looking at,

...or e-mail your offer now if you prefer.

I have never owned a fixed blade I liked as much as the Micro Tusk Custom 2998 I got for Christmas.

Nice blade, love the sheath and made it a horizontal carry for my own needs.

I've got one is black canvas micarta on the way.

Of the knives you mention the Aurora is hard to beat.

If you’re a hunter the Highland Special is a real winner.

But for me the perfect all-arounder is the Recurve Fox River, a 2008 Custom that has a more central point then the Fox River and features a contoured handle and a slight recurve to the cutting edge.

Big Mike,

Thanks for not using Photobucket. I can see your awesome pics!;)

Canadian Special in A2 with stag handles and matching stag firesteel. I love everything about it, steel, ergos, blade length and shape. I know it can go the distance even though its so purdy to look at.

Hey HD, how come you can't see Photobucket pictures?

Doc

Well, at home I can if the thread only has one or two. Otherwise forget it. At work they blocked it. I can see most other ones and the ones uploaded to BF.

It really bummed me out when it happened cause I had an extensive collection on there, plus I can't view 90% of the pics people post here.

Photobucket, Flickr, and Smugmug don't work. Image Shack and most others do though. see:

I have several Bark River Knives.
There are 3 that I carry the most into the bush.
The Ultralight Bushcraft if weight is an issue.
The Canadian Camp if I am not going far and can schlep the weight.
However, my real go to knife is the Aurora. I really like the handle shape and the way the Aurora handles.
As for handle material I am partial to the stabilized woods for their combination of looks and strength.
You can't go wrong with any Bark River.
Most people who buy one, end up owning more than one before long.

I'm with what seems the majority in picking the Aurora. At first I really didn't like it based solely on the looks, but it soon grew on me and now I love the looks! It was my first bark river and I won it at the CT gathering in a give away. Can't beat a free barkie no matter what. :p:D

After that, the Escort boot knife is slowly growing on me. I received this knife for Christmas and love it. The handle is ghost green jade which looks awesome on this knife. The only complaint I have is the sheath is a little awkward to use due to the strap and belt loop, but overall not too bad.

I think a Bravo is in need for the future ;)

Mikro Canadian. AKA "The Big Boy" :)

Obviously, it's too small to be useful for most tasks outside, but for edc chores it works great.

My two favorite right now are my Northstar and my Hudson Bay. But I'm trying to trade my custom Barkie/Fallkniven F1 to get my hands on a Bravo-1 or Bravo-2.

dont have any BRKT's so i cant say, but as an aside, hollowdweller, you've got just about the best taste in fixed bladed knives.

I got my brother a bravo 2 for christmas, its a nice knife, big knife! Its not that heavy for its size but to me its more like the combat version of the bravo-1. Its a good chopper and is a nice size for batoning but too big for a lot of other things.
