Favorite Brand Folder

I'm waiting on the Izula folder.Jeff said that Rowen will make it.I think it will make a perfect little edc blade, legal almost anywhere.

+1. Looks like it will be folder perfection for me!

The folder I use the most now is my Vic Alox Soldier.I think the Izula F would make a good partner for it,in the right front pocket.

I'm going to try and hold out for the Izula folder as long as I can. If knives keep showing up on our doorstep my lady is going to kill me. :p

I have in my pocket a small Sebenza 21 ... I wish it had a bottle opener last night when I opened a coke...I wish it said ESEE...
When you Wish upon a star a dream is born!!! lol

Rowen will be the manufcaturer. They have made folders before and they are extremely high quality. A lot more to folders than meets the eye, thus the reason we have been so damn picky about who can/will do one for ESEE.

Thats great news. I'm really looking forward to the Rowen made folder. I know its going to be a sweet blade.

Can't wait to see how the Esee folders come out! Hope my wallet can take the damage of all these wonderful knives coming out....

Currently carry a Kershaw Blur. I like the looks of the ESSE3-F, does anyone know if it will be assisted open?

I'm currently carrying an orange-handled Benchmade Griptillian. Love the 154CM, holds an edge forever!

When I read that the ESEE-3F would have an orange replacement scale (please keep this option on the Rowen produced model!) I pissed myself.

Really looking forward to it.

I had the 110H2O from BM and it was an amazing knife. the sheath however was less than functional. I hopped in and out of my raft and it hit the friction of hypalon and slip... no more knife on my PFD. The river is a fickle mistress and she loves hats, knives and sunglasses.

I wrote BM with my problem. They not only replaced it but, sent me a rescue hook and the guy pictured above. Since it hadn't officially come out yet I was asked to try it out on the river and write back some thoughts.

Not only have I used it on the river I have used it for everything.... everything. I thought since it was free (and they wanted my feedback) I would try to break it. After batoning wood for a fire pit at a BBQ I was sold. I sent it back for the free-lifetime-sharpening and had my name laser marked onto it. It's officially part of the family.

I have never bought another folder besides BM. That speaks to how highly I think of ESEE. I'm saving for an ESEE folder as we speak.

Never baton a folder. I don't care how good the lock is you are changing so many geometric fits and loosening shit you don't even know about when you do. Folders, when built right, are highly precise tools.

What? no Emersons out there? I have carried an Emerson folder since 96. For what ever reason, I live there designs, and I know I can use it forever. I still have the cqc7 I bought back in 96. I used that thing as a prybar more times than I cut anything with, and it is still going strong.

I carried a commander for eight years edc, and still have it. A little worse for wear but looking strong.

While I can't wait for the Izula folder and the HEST folder looks good as well, I always go back to Emerson for folders, and ESEE for fixed blades.

Whenever it gets here an ESEE folder will be a solid quality blade.

There is one exception I could make to that. The CS Rajah can take it. I really put mine through the test. No looseness or damage at all.

GOD i hope not..... assisted opening is bad for many reasons inc alot of police will mess with you legal or not... and more parts to fail/break and really guy?? you can't flick it open fast enough? just my op

btw i own about 9 assisteds from kershaw hk and benchmade just think they are unnecessary ...short of knife masturbation or a nervous tick where you constantly open/close your blade again just my op not bashing anyone

as of this moment the closest thing to a folder i have is my leatherman skeletool cx, im thinking about getting one of the rat 1's but im hopeing that the 3f will be out before i get around to worrying about a real folder to much

Benchmade is pretty good stuff. Local too, Portland OR. Used to have bunch of SOG stuff but mostly sold or gifted it away.

I agree! If the ESEE does have assisted opening I hope it is similar to the system in the ZT350 that can easily be deactivated and/or reactivated.
