Favorite Movie Knife fights

The first movie that comes to mind is The Hunted - several cool knife scenes in that one. And I just saw it a few days ago.

Ok, and while not technically a "knife fight" per se, the first fight sequence in The Equalizer is pretty sweet, too (not even really a fight at all, because Denzel's character completely dominates 5 dudes - all in 16 seconds).

If you go on Youtube and type: Kill Zone - S.P.L Donnie Yen Vs Wu Jing (HD). There is an epic baton vs. knife fight.

+1 for Steve McQueen vs. Martin Landau in Nevada Smith.

Another film well worth seeing, "Edge of the City," with Sidney Poitier and John Cassavetes; borderline spoiler: Sidney Poitier vs Jack Warden, though not *exactly* knife-v-kinife.

(Matin Ritt's debut as a director. Powerful work. Some of you may know him for his works Hud, Hombre, The Long Hot Summer, Murphy's Romance, Norma Rae, etc.)

I Saw The Devil. One of my all-time favorite suspense movies. This scene is brutally believable.

Jim

Yeah good movie! Crazy knife stabbing scene.

Final scene of the last episode of the final season of Hannibal! Hannibal and Will against Dolarhyde to the tune of Siouxie Sioux’s "Love Crime"! Brutal and operatic!

For a comedic turn, Crocodile Dundee's mugging "That's not a knife" scene and Kung Fu Hustle's knife throwing scene.

There's a few good knife fight scenes in Last of the Mohicans.
Especially the last fight scenes towards the end of the movie.

Mel Gibson in The Patriot. The scene when he rescues his son from the British soldiers. I know the tomahawk is prominent in the scene, but he also has a knife. Also the scene at the end when he fights Col. Tavington hand to hand. Awesome.

Loved the end scene. But clearly the col. Won the fight and would never have ended mel with such a wild over head swing when a quick little thrust would have ended it

Native Taiwanese knife in "warriors of the rainbow"
Now the question, where to get one?

They are pretty easy to get over here, the price runs about 100$ per one(hand made). Those things are pretty indestructible, i have chopped down several trees with one!

My favorite knife fighting scene is a Russian one, not sure about the name of the movie though. It's about Pirates hijacking a ship and the Russian Marines board it to take it back, but they are only equipped with knives!

I will probably get laughed off of here for this, but I liked the knife fights in the 1980's version of "Dune", especially the last one with Sting as the bad guy. I always felt it was less flashy and closer to a real knife duel (well as close to real as movies get...).
