Favorite production Fixed Blade & Why ?

My favorite production....hmmmm......thats difficult but I think I will go with these two at the moment. These are the two that I find myself carrying around the house the most.

BATAC (with Dumpster Mutt as Son No. 1...)

I love the Badger, schweet size, great edge, just a fantastic all-rounder.

Damn...this is almost a "if you could only have one" thread from the general forums. So, I guess if I can only chose one it would be my Busse ASH1 2007 SE. If I am going out, this is generally the knife I reach for.

Out of what I own I would have to give the nod to my CRK Ubejane. Seems to do everything I ask of it. I also like and carry the Sable (5.5") a lot too. Feels and works like a much smaller knife to me. For some reason I actually like the round handle. I'm getting a Mtn II for Christmas so I'll see if it takes over. ;) Oops, I also have an Aurora coming very soon too so I'll have to wait and see where it fits in. Who knows, it might change everything! It's my first ever BRK. ;)

Right now its KGD's RC6 hes lent me, then when mine gets here Ill love mine!:D

Busse Natural Outlaw Ergo clip point. It is the best at nothing in particular, but is excellent in almost everything.

Mine is the Busse SF Natural Outlaw because its the only fixed blade I have, with the exception of my khukris, that can eat my folders (primary knife love) for breakfast.

Favorite of the ones I've owned...Fallkniven S1.

Favorite of ones I've handled and would like to own...Bark River Bravo 1, Fallkniven A1, Rat RC series.

I prefer fixed blades in the 4 - 6 inch range with grippy handles and enough guard to keep my hands from sliding onto the blade when wet. While I'm not a big fan of high carbon steels, I think the RAT series does a good enough job on their coatings so that they remain a low maintenance blade.

Thanks mymindisamob. I thought it looked too large, proportionately to be a GW.

Doc

Well now that you mention it, someone had an Active Duty modified like this one. Maybe I was mistaken and this is it. It's hard for me to tell at that angle though. Sorry, should have butted out maybe.:foot:

Probably the RC4 or the Becker Crewman. they are both a great size and just plain work for me.

other than my (6) bark rivers, i don't own very many production knives...:o i think i would probably say that my BRAVO-1 and my little creek are my favorites... if i had a RAT knife of some sort, i'm sure it would probably be a favorite too...:D
