Fiddleback Collections

I've been putting it off for some time now and recently few have asked me to post some collection pics.
First I apologize for the pics, I need to take a lesson in photography. :)
Originally, I was all about burlap handles and few canvas. But few weeks ago I made a mistake of helping a friend and purchase a wood handle Kephart.
So now, I started to add some wood handles in my collection. Talking about paying for a mistake! :D

Tod, I thought of using a green tape to go over the yellow pinstripe, but then I thought that would be an uncool thing to do to a fellow Fiddlebacker! :D

SA Condor, sorry bud, know you've been waiting for this pic.

LOL!!! That is too funny. You don't have to put a green pinstripe. I am already crying looking at all those amazing fiddlebacks. I have been looking at these pics for the last twenty minutes just trying to take it all in. Very nice collection!!!!

That is an AMAZING collection! WOW! Which were your first one or two?

-Will

I agree with Will. Absolutely monumental collection! Your photos are just fine by the way. You need a wide angle lens to capture that big of a group. Maybe you should put some of that ugly burlap on the Flea Market to simplify your photo lay-outs. :D

Thanks again for sharing your collection.

Phil

Exceptional collection Rick. There's one or two yeeyozers in there for sure.

When I opened your post I thought I had been transported to the flight deck of the USS Fiddleback......woozer !

Ok, so the big questions now are:

1. How many sheaths do you own ?

2. How long does it take you to wipe these beauties down with mineral oil ?

3. How many shoe boxes does it take to store them when they are not out basking on the flight deck ?

4. At what point did you go from.....this is how many Fiddleback's I need to......this is how many I want ?

I agree with Phil.....we're all here to help you man. Just give us the word and your PayPal account will be flush :D

Seriously, this was a fun way to wake up this morning.....thanks for sharing !

Solid collection! That's quite impressive. I counted 49 total... Do you have a certain one planned for #50!?

That is a crazy collection, your big knives look like beauties. Any chance for a pic just of the big ones? Camps-comp-bishop?

Whoa that's seriously impressive Rick. If you had the light up Fiddleback Forge sign it would almost look like the table at bladeshow! Thanks for getting them all together for such an epic group pic.

Oh My! Simply amazing.

I'll take it. (This is a giveaway right?) ;)

Thanks all, it was fun putting it together.

LOL…Oh I tried many times, every time I take them out for some pics to go on the Flea Market, it just ended up back in my collection.

Exceptional collection Rick. There's one or two yeeyozers in there for sure.

I wonder which one? Maybe we can work out a trade!

1. I need to work on the sheaths, only a few. Never thought I was going to keep them all but it’s hard to let them go after I have it in my hands. I’m pretty sure that’s one of the symptoms of a Fiddleback addict.
2. Good thing for Tuff cloth. A lot less messy than mineral oil.
3. I don’t have many shoe boxes, instead I use computer part boxes. I have about 7 boxes.
4. My plan was just to get a couple on FF but that plan went out the window, see answer #1 on top. :D

Hopefully this helps....

Yep take your pic!
I’ll email it to you. :D

I stand corrected! 59 it is... So whats planned for number 60?! :)

Actually, there are 60. These two never made it into the collection pics. The dark green burlap Hunter was recently acquired thru a trade and the 60th was an old model Recluse I got from KSF.
I’m waiting on 4 more from last week’s FF. I never really have a plan for my next one that’s the problem. :D 
But would love to get my hands on a Bow Leg Chopper and anything in orange burlap, if anyone wants to donate 1 to me! :D

That is a nice sub set Will!!!

Here is where I'm at these days. There is one scandi hiking buddy missing in the photos, which puts the scandi collection one over the convex. The photo quality turned out low but I didn't want to take them back out again.
