This is awesome!

Thanks! I figured after the attach on FF yesterday, that we needed some positive news!

Great Story!!!!! Glad you found it!!!!

Me too! It really was a needle in a haystack type story. I know it's just a 'thing', but my wife picked out a unique ring and it came from her heart. I don't really get attached to 'things', but my wedding band does hold sentimental value!

What I'm hearing is that if Gollum had a Fiddlebacks machete, the landscape of Middle Earth would look very different right now😎
Cool story!

This made me crack up!

We all channel our inner Gollum when it comes to Fiddlebacks!

Great story Luke, glad you didn't have to wait quite so long for your machete as your Bushfinger. They sure are an amazing knife and pretty handy tool.

Yeah, I'm glad it didn't take as long too! Now I just need to be united with my Monarch and Bushcrafter and I finally will have them all!

Here is the promised pic. I took the pic in my yard, I didn't want to lose it down the embankment again! . . .

My best and many prayers to you and your family Matthew.

Luke - nice save man. Might of been the day to pick a random lottery ticket as well (or a metal detector)

Great story Luke! Glad you found it. The wives sometimes use those types of situations as ammunition. Good thing you were victorious.

Mathew, my sincerest condolences to you and your family. Keep your chin up buddy.

1 year old... that is terrible. I am sure he was loved. That is what any of us can hope for, no matter how short or long the time that is given.

Very very much loved and adored!!!! He only lived one and a half hours, doctors tried to get momma to abort the baby....but they said after they saw how much love and affection that baby received during his short little life....they are changing their recommendation from now on...it may not have been long, but if that little boy had been aborted (killed) before he was born, he would have been robbed of those beautiful moments....he passed quietly and comfortably...on Gods terms...and Momma had no regrets.

Soapbox vacated :)

You can stay on that soapbox for as long as you want! The doctors tried to get my sister to abort since early in the pregnancy. They tried all the way up to delivery. But that little baby had 27 days of love by her Mommy, Daddy, grandparents, and the multitude of others that visited the hospital!

Preach on my friend preach on!

My condolences to you and your family Matthew. I'm glad you got some time with him. Short as it was, it was precious.

Thoughts and prayer for your family Matthew. The amount of bravery and love in your family's decision is beautiful.

So sorry about your loss Matthew, I can't imagine what the parents and family are going through. But it sounds like your family members are people full of love and I'm sure you're all supporting one another in this difficult time. I'll be praying for strength, encouragement, and healing.

Wow so sorry for your Loss Matthew, my family wishes all the Grace and Prayers to you guys during this time. God is Good!

It's hard to believe after months of planning that this weekend is already over. It was a beautiful ceremony and an incredibly special time to be a father. Thank you for all of the messages on the forum and the PMs that I received. I appreciate all of the friendships that I have here. I sincerely enjoy sharing these life's moments with all of you. There isn't a better group of people anywhere.

It was so hectic that I never really had a lot of opportunity to snap pics. I feel, the problem with "taking" pics is you lose the opportunity to watch the moment. I wasn't going to miss any moments this weekend. :) I am also banking on the images from the professional photographer that was working. We just got home this afternoon so people are still contacting me with some candid pics.

The photographer made me wait until my daughter was completely ready before letting me in. I walked into a completely silent room as everyone watched. This is the exact moment I saw my daughter for the first time. I will never forget that moment...

Wonderful ceremony (obviously I was seated on the back side of the ceremony. No real chance for a pic of my daughter)

My wife and I (2nd marriage each) are blessed with a combined 4 daughters. They are inseparable as sisters.

Selfish pride is seldom a something to brag about. Your daughter's wedding is an exception to that rule Dave. Congratulations on a joyous day!
