What is the color of this Bushfinger called? I've seen the same, if not very similar color, called black, blue, sapphire, and purple. Is it as purple in person as it looks? Do they get any more purple?
Thanks guys.
To answer the question once and for all (also answered here), it is black shadetree burlap (the mfr. of shadetree calls it "oreo"). It looks purple/gray/bluish in person when dried out, unpolished or sandblasted. If the handle is oiled, wet, or waxed it will be a darker variant somewhere between charcoal and dark purple. Do some quick searches on the forum, there are numerous pictures out there.
Dcaggie06, if that Ironwood BC 1/8th almost full grind, Orange liners. is still available for $290, I'll take it! PM to follow.
Thanks. I did search, and did see numerous pictures. My problem was inconsistency in naming. Shadetree has a purple burlap but whenever I saw purple burlap on a Fiddleback it was usually called black and then a few other names here and there.
Has Andy ever used that Shadetree purple on his knives? Or just purplish black (Oreo)?
