And here I was thinking spalting was on the O1 carbon steel and fiddletexture on the CPM154 stainless. Seems like the first time I saw the term fiddletexture was in a sale description on a SS blade in Fiddleback Friday.
 
I think that EDC 2 in the sales thread is Stainless/CPM154 so it is Fiddletextured. The Fiddletexture is also done on O1, but not so often. I have trouble keeping up - my first 2 stainless Fiddlebacks are pre-Fiddletexture and look a little plain by comparison, still awesome blades but not so fancy.

Who would have ever thought it would be so hard to sell a tapered tang Fiddleback? Price dropped to $250. Bear Paw Bushcrafter, 5/32 tapered tang with black micarta scales over black liners with a lime green pinstripe. Unused. Shipped via USPS Priority with insurance and tracking. Nice grabs both. I had BF open, but was working on something else. I came over and saw that all was gone in minutes. I think I opened the thread at 1:15. I would have loved that BC. Enjoy!

Cheers Walt, i didn't have anything to trade when Phillip put it up before, was very fortuitous that I had a full bladder!
 
Gonna take a shot here and see if a trade can be made. I have super nice Bushraptor, 01 steel, 1/8" full tang, dyed curly maple handle that I'd like to trade for a Bushraptor, Bushboot, or Hiking Buddy with Osage handle material. I'll even include a sheath with it.:eek:
