Fiddleback Flea Market

They do pop up all the time. You also can look in the thread Fiddleback User Photos/Pic. Hope this helps

Why is it that used knives never show up in the flea market? Is there a thread for used and loved fiddlebacks? I'd really love to see how they look aged and with patina. - not trying to start a convo.

You know, complaining about mung IS mung. You could've just as easily answered the question once and be done with it, but you'd rather get your two cents in.

YOU know who YOU are. 😜

I'll watch the mung. I know a lot of guys subscribe to this one just like I do.

I just sold multiple used knives. Many folks do. If you want one used (specifically), they regularly come and go. I clean mine before posting as some folks don't like patina. Different strokes for different folks.

If anyone else has a camp knife that just doesn't do it for them, let me know.

I have a few I may be willing to trade for the right one if you're not interested in cash. Also looking for a synthetic bushfinger with green liners.

Lol such a longshot that I feel silly for even asking.

If you're not trying to start a conversation in the Market area, then you question is rhetorical at face value. To solve your personal dilemma, you could always buy a pretty one and patina it up yourself. Another suggestion .. go look through the user pics or do a search for patina .. it's kinda been covered.

Everyone has to get their two cents in. Anyone else before we can all move on?

Yes it was a bit rhetorical and obviously there is a hyperbolic element to what I said. My question about used threads has already been answered earlier and the thread moved on.

Lol. I thought I'd see you passing through here soon, Walt. Nice snag.

One of these days, I'd like someone to do a fairly comprehensive review of a knife model they own in various thicknesses. Cool factor and looks aside, I've got to imagine certain models have an "ideal size" for a particular set of uses. What those uses are might vary from person to person, but isolating the variables and comparing might really make those things more clear. Maybe you're our man for the job. 😉

Hi Michael, I EDC an SP in 1/8" stainless which is closer to 5/16". The main reason that I do this is predominantly for winter in the event that I slide off of a slippery road in a remote area. I want a blade on my person that I can thump on and that I can bet my life on, yet I want to EDC it inside of my pocket in an RLO IWB sheath. Overall, the SP fills this niche for me. I have only ever sharpened my stainless SP once as I never use it and have not slid off of a slippery road in a remote area. You could argue that I could keep a more substantial knife in the car, but what if I am in someone else's car? I have made some rather significant observations regarding the SPs that I own and have used, so perhaps it is time for an extensive review. So far my favorite is the stainless one with respect to hand filling properties and comfort.

Plenty of folks mung this place up on a regular basis, quit piling on the new guy.

I agree, plenty of people do. I'm guilty of it. Let's try to remember that this is a sales thread though. Not a comparison, review, or discussion thread. People are trying to unload their goods. I've been in financial pinches and had to unload blades as fast as I can. I posted them in the flea market only to have them pushed back a few pages because of blade talk and other conversation that had nothing to do with any blades for sale in the flea market. I admit some of the nonflea market aka mung comments bring up good points and shine light in areas I've never looked at before. Why not start a thread and post your comment or ask your question in the fiddleback forge thread page? You'll most likely get more detailed feedback by a lot more members. At the very least others will feel more comfortable commenting and won't feel guilty of jacking up someone's sales page.
