Hey guys I'd love to find a bushfinger with a tapered tang! Really I would be interested in any medium sized knife with a tapered tang from andy like the arete, bushcrafter, kephart, recluse, sneaky Pete etc.. If anyone has one that just isn't getting the attention that she deserves please PM me! Also I've got a New in tube GEC Northfield #73 with some very nice AND well matched burnt stag scales that I would be willing to trade, plus cash from me of course

MuleHead .. have you checked some of the dealers that sell Fiddlebacks? I know Arizona Knife has a Terassaur with Tapered Tang listed. Knives Ship Free has two, a Woodchuck & F2 with tapered tangs.
 
Yes I have seen those, they look good just not what I'm looking for.. This will be my first fixed blade knife ever as well as my first knife from Andy, so I want something that I will use. I'll probably end up holding out for a bushfinger or something very similar with micarta on natural canvas. I just love the way that natural canvas looks against that tapered steel tang! I was a few minutes late on the sapphire blue burlap bushfinger yesterday, I probably should have pulled the trigger on the bushfinger with natural micarta scales on black g10. I'm sure I'll find one soon enough

Can't PM you/ have Maroon Linen Micarta Woodchuck, nat canvas liners, tapered tang available flea market/exchange. Not a Bushfinger I know, but a very useful shaped blade.

Thanks for the response bear71. I think I'm going to give it a few more days to see what else comes up, I read somewhere that several knives went to dealers, I might even try my luck on Friday again ha ha. It's a good looking knife, but I guess I'm just looking for something special for my first knife. Something that really catches my eye you know? I'm a sucker for that casual look of canvas and burlap

You might be seeing some of mine in here soon. The wife walked in the office this morning and looked at the shelf where I store them at, looked at me, and said "So, I've been looking at the paypal account..."

Whoops. LOL ;)

Maybe dinner and some Tiffany's or something might distract her.

You have to do something man, else she can shut you down. A mentor of mine told me a long time ago: "Walter, you have to look out for the guy who says he wears the pants in his family. He'll lie to you about other things too."
