Fiddleback Giveaway from USA Made Blade

I love the finish on the steel. Looks so tough and handcrafted. The styling of these knives is what I consider to be the ideal knife.
I wish I could post a picture of my fiddleback, but I don't have one. I have tried on several occasions to save for one, but things constantly come up that I don't want to spend money on.

I'm really hoping for some luck here so I can finally own one of the knives I stare at and window shop.

How awesome of you, Whitty! I'm in! I have heard so many rave about the ergonomics of the Sneaky family. Now that I've got something to compare to I'd sure love to get my mitts on one to try. The wood on that (wenge?) looks awesome too.

Here's my favorite: my Bushcrafter. While I love the tools, I gotta admit the Fiddleback family might be my favorite thing!

Thanks again and good luck to all!

My favorite thing about Fiddleback Forge is no doubt Andy Roy, he is a great guy that encourages new knife makers and always gives his advice to me when I ask. 2nd is the handles that he makes, they are some of the most comfortable handles I have seen.

Don't have the cash for one yet, but makers like fiddleback are one of the main reasons I visit this forum. First one I saw was a bush boot and I fell in love with the simplistic beauty of it with the mosaic pins. It might be a good while before I own one but seeing all these pics will have to tied me over for now. Dream knife for sure!

Found the thread, first one I laid my coveting eyes on :D

I don't own a fiddle back and so don't know if I am ineligible but qualify for the criteria posted as of yet. So would like to enter. I think fiddle back forge knives are functional pieces of individual art and that they are designed first from a use and comfort standpoint and then made beautiful. Thanks for the giveaway and for supporting the forum.

I don't have one, but I'd like one! The colors and material combinations they use on the handles are unconventional and bold.
Great looking knives!

Hey Whitty, thanks for the chance! I, sadly, do not have a fiddleback yet..... I foresee a Bushcrafter model changing that in the future. It’s always fun to lurk around the Fiddleback forum on Fridays though. :D
What appeals to me is how sleek and aesthetically balanced the designs are. Many have a fairly traditional look even though often times unique scale materials and colors are used. Perusing around the different threads and reviews, they seem to be well balanced and rugged tools meant to be used. What’s not to like there?

Thanks for the chance Whitty -- you guys are awesome and are part of the very community that make Fiddleback Forge knives so great!

I love Andy's knives because they represent the ultimate combination of form and functionality! From unique designs, to great materials, and impeccable craftsmanship, Fiddleback Forge knives are phenomenal hard working tools that are always up to the task!

This Bushfinger, my first FF knife, is my favorite of the four I currently own. As I've referred to them before, they are knives that are simple in form and function, elegant in presentation.
Unfortunately the photo wouldn't copy to this location?

Thanks for the chance Scott. I love Fiddlebacks because they are so well thought out, they are crafted by hand, and they are Made in the U.S.A. Andy's user design is evident in every knife that he produces. I also love all of the back stories about the knife's design that Andy shares on this forum.

I seriously cannot chose a favorite unless the application is considered. Not all Fiddlebacks are equally suited for all tasks. The two knives that fill this rig are as close as it gets to covering most bases for me.

They are the Bishop and the Asp (unfortunately I do not have pictures, yet). There is very little that I cannot do with a knife if I have this rig on my person.

However, the Black Micarta with orange pinstripe EDCII with 5/32" tapered tang gets used more than any Fiddleback I own.

I added this picture today to show you that in fact the EDCII gets used.

But when there is no gun in reach, and it is time to get serious, I can imagine none better than the 3/16" Wasp.

Thanks for all that you do & for the opportunity to participate in this generous GAW......you guys rock !

My current favorite Fiddleback is a Bushfinger w/ electric orange burlap handles over CPM 154 steel. I just received it back from a spa treatment and it is a stunning example of Andy's craftsmanship. My interest in Fiddleback Forge is driven by the Ch'i that flows from the maker into every knife he crafts. They are simple & effective tools that bring an artful expression of form & function. The attached photo also includes one of my other favorites which is a Sneaky Pete w/ ironwood burl handles....this one makes me smile everytime I carry it.

This is awesome, thanks for the opportunity Whitty. I'm in.

Andy's designs and comfortable handles are what drew me in. However, I've really grown to appreciate his customer service, which is simply the best that's out there in my opinion!

My current favorite, and probably all-time favorite is my Fiddleback woodpecker.

I don't know what to love about them until I try one, and on a student budget I won't be trying one unless it's a GAW, so count me in! :D

I love Andy's knives because they flat out work,

...a harmonious combination of blade and handle shapes;

...an equation where the total is greater then the sum for the parts.

My favorite.

They are very beautiful while still being some of the best performing knives out there. They all bring a smile to my face when I handle them (Andy's handles are wonderful). My favorite and most special of all is this S35VN Recluse which a I inherited from a friend who died tragically in a car accident a while back.

Was not aware of Fiddleback Forge until now, but wow. Stunning workmanship. I absolutely love the variations achieved with the different hammer finishes and grinds. A favorite shown on the website was this Bushraptor - a work of art.

Whitty, awesome of you to do the GAW! Thanks for everything you guys do for this community.

I love Fiddlebacks for being hard working knives that look like art. Super comfortable handles and great grinds. Andy and crew are a great bunch. And the community around it is full of good folk.

My favorite Fiddleback: Camp Nessie.
