Thanks for the sponsored giveaway.

I purchased a Fiddleback because it was the best purpose built knife that exhibited pride of craftsmanship and quality in its construction and was backed a single mans word guarantee.

Thanks for the chance Whitty! My first fiddleback was purchased from you guys!

I love how fiddlebacks are the perfect blend between art and function. Each one is different and has a life of its own. Sometimes I get one like this kephart that just sings to me.

Jeez…thanks Whitty for the opportunity, but do me a favor and don’t pick me please.

FINALLY A CHANCE TO VENT!

Let me start by being blunt. I really hate Fiddleback Forge knives. Ever since I found out about Andy and crew earlier this year, it has been plain misery. Really.

Example. This Duke I have here. It really feels awful in my hand. The 5/32” TT O1 blade is just miserable. It is terrible at food prep, sucks at batoning and other wood chores, while whittling anything under control is just a nightmare. I really think it is the all-around worst knife I have in my collection.

And just when I think I have found the worse knife around, my bank account gave me this Camp Nessie as a present. All I can think to myself is, “man, my bank account must hate me!”. Seriously this thing sits here having a morning cup of Joe and starts screaming how awesome it is immediately. Rude. Not only is it ill behaved but the 3/16” TT in black herringbone burlap is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. Don’t even get me started on the inefficiencies. This knife does nothing well and thinks it’s the king of my camp. Riiiight.

And Andy and crew….those guys are jokers. “Handmade”, “working tools”, “art”, blah blah blah. Not like they put sweat, blood and tears into each knife or anything. I would love to grab a blade from an artisan that ACTUALLY cares about their product. At the very least my dream knifemaker would hopefully ship production offshore because it’s cheaper so I can pay half the cost for half the quality. Too bad there isn’t a forum of awesome people that could point me in the right direction.

But I will use this opportunity to reach out to the community. It would be really stellar if someone could let me know if there was a knifemaker out there that could make not just one awesome knife, but a whole line up of kick ass tools you could be stuck in the woods with, under virtually any situation, and make out perfectly no matter which knife from the lineup you were carrying.

Until then I’ll keep dreaming. Ho-hum…

I love Fiddleback Forge knives because they are honest, hard working, handmade, quality tools that are the manifestation of exceptional design and craftsmanship.

No longer mine, this Hunter was my favorite Fiddleback

I have always had a love for knives ever since I was a kid. I had spent a long time in search of a great hand made knife. My coworker introduced me to Fiddleback Forge and bladeforum's Fiddleback Friday. So I went on bladeforums and started looking at all knife makers on here. Don't get me wrong, lots of knives on here are awesome but Fiddleback Forge knives really cought my eye and a real bad desire to own one. I love that Andy Roy and Fiddleback Forge make many knife models to fit different people's life styles. I also love the craftsmanship,
design and performance as well as all the different handle options they offer.

My first Fiddleback was a bushfinger and also my favorite so far, I have yet to discover the pleasures of owning multiple Fiddlebacks. Here is a pic of my first Fiddleback that I purchased from usamadeblade, which by the way is a great company, that has great costumer service and they sound like people that I would like to be around. I want to thank Whitty for everything he did to get me my first bushfinger. USAMADEBLADE is my where to place, thanks again.

Fiddlebacks are knives that encompass art and beauty but offer durability and a deeply seeded thought of a dependable knife. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1406717345.039670.jpg

Osage muk. My dream knife.

Scott,

This is very generous of you to offer a giveaway. The Sneaky Pete is one of my favorite models. Some lucky person is going to be very happy to receive it. This is just another example of how the Fiddleback community benefits from having the support of great dealers like you.

A used Bushfinger was my first Fiddleback. I received it in a trade about a year ago. That was when I realized that Andy’s handle contouring and finishing was far superior to anything else I tried before. The handles are still my favorite part of owning and using Fiddleback knives.

This particular Bushfinger is long gone from my collection, but the addiction it started still remains...

Thanks,

Phil

What drew me to Fiddleback Forge knives was the beautiful craftsmanship Andy and his crew put into each of their knives, and aside from their beauty each knife excels at its intended purpose. I wanted the best outdoors knife I could find not only nice looking but hard working. My current favorite Fiddleback is my Osage handled Bushcrafter.

I love Fiddleback's and my favorite is the EDKarda. :)

That's a great looking Sneaky!

I love that Fiddlebacks are so gorgeous and have absolutely amazing ergonomics, but they are made to WORK.
I'm also amazed at the generosity and thoughtfulness of Andy and the team, and this subforum in general.

Love the KE Bushie!

I've been buying Andy's knives since he started. The craftsmanship is superb and the guy behind the grinder is pretty cool. :D

Scott, can we sweeten the deal by throwing in a Rick Lowe Sheath for the winner too? (Unless of course it's Bartlax) We would be thrilled to do so, and truly appreciate you doing this.

I thank you for the chance on such a generous giveaway!!
I have long admired the knives made by Fiddleback Forge , the execution of their designs and the choice of materials is second to none , just beautiful knives that are beautifully made.
