Thanks Justen for putting this together. It was great fun watching the gifts unveiled. Oh, Thanks for the freakin axe too!

Im at a loss on the other 2 items. The only thing i can say is im humbled by them and the generosity of everyone here on the forums.

Phil, Amazon lost one of you items and they're sending you a replacement. This was the best part.

Thanks Bob

Im digging it all. I love both the guys/choices you made.

I got tracking that mine is stuck in New York but it is coming all the way from Australia. Can't wait.

Muchas Gracias to Onedoeg! Merry Christmas to all. I have some amazing all organic honey products from Bees Brother of Cache Valley, Utah. My grandparents raised bees and I helped tend and rob them as a boy. This gave me a deep appreciation for the amazing grace in which nature provides for us.

Bill

Bill, I'm really glad you enjoyed the gift. They certainly make some good honey as well as treats! Merry Christmas.

I lucked out and got Justen (“SouthernGent”) as my Secret Santa. Justen and I got to know each other at the Blade Show this year. We shared some good conversation and laughs over a beer (or five?) while hanging out in the Pit.

Justen carried on that theme with my Christmas gift that included a nice selection of adult beverages and a batch of his secret family dry rub recipe which I can’t wait to try later this week. As a special bonus gift, he sent a “Shrilling Chicken” that makes a hilarious despair-filled moaning noise when you squeeze it. I am luckier than most that my wife doesn’t make that noise every time a new box shows up from Fiddleback. :D

Thanks Justen for nice letter, wonderful gift, and making this gift exchange possible.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Phil

Thanks again Robert, Marc, and Brett at Fiddleback Outpost for the amazing gifts.

I hope the rest of Christmas for all of you is wonderful and you all have a happy New Year celebration.

Orion

You're welcome! It was a lot of fun. We appreciate all the contribution these past few months, so it was fortuitous that we drew your name!

Thank you Brian Griffin for sending me the most useful gift ever! I'll never have freezing hands again trying to shoot photos when it's windy and 40 degrees out! Of course, I couldn't get them to work and my wife is like "click" and they were blazing. I guess hot things need to be initiated by other hot things?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

...although I would have to say that the padded envelope it was shipped in is the REAL winner here. Turns out, it makes a fantastic one-legged ice skate given the right imagination!

Thanks Brian!

Justen, thank you for putting this together.

This community is awesome and is the thing I personally love most about running the Outpost. We are truly blessed to be a part of it all.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey-- I did get a rock!

... And so much more. :)

20. Pertinux - I like blue, cool stuff, and owls.

Wow, all boxes ticked(!), if by association when it came to the "Owls"-- beautiful bird feathers stood in. (Wild turkey, I believe, and _____ ?)

A sparkly-blue glitter-covered card, blue-packaged Oreos, the above-mentioned feathers, and an array of Kewl little things:

Incense, garnet mined by my Secret Santa, and a Keith Griffin/Combatbeads tag:

:D

Thanks, Secret Santa!

Speaking of which, my Secret Santa hid his name throughout: the box was from "Santa," as was the included card. (This never occurred to me to do. :o What'd the rest of you do?)

I think it figured out by the location in "Santa's" return address, but hope he chimes in soon to confirm. (My guess: his forum name begins with "L" and ends with "uca917"-- am I close? ;))

I love the thoughtful specificity of the gifts, and am intrigued by the 'mined' descriptive of the garnet and would like to hear more.

Thanks, Secret Santa, and Justen, and everyone else who played along. :)

Merry Christmas everyone!
Sorry, but stay tuned in tomorrow for my Secret Santa reveal. Came into the office to write it up tonight, but I just got down right schooled by my mother who is mad that I'm in here and not out with the family. Man, that brought back memories. (In a good way though). No matter how old you get, your mom can still put you in your place.

Cheers Everyone,
Sergio

P,
Good guess. I figured the address would give it away. The postman did enjoy it when I filled out the return address.

I saw a pic you posted with oreos, and they're in a blue package. You're correct about the wild turkey feather, but I'm not sure about the other.

The garnet. Not far from me is a stable where one can rent a horse and ride the trails. The property includes an abandoned gem mine. My boys and I once spent a day riding and digging through the mine. I found that garnet just before we headed back. I have a thing for cool rocks, and I hoped you'd enjoy it!

I hope you enjoy Phil! I knew you would enjoy the rub and appreciate all the time it took and rounds of trials to dial it in. As for that chicken, it is just annoyingly hilarious and goes well with the rub, although he will tell you otherwise. Merry Christmas to you and everyone here on the Fiddleback Forum!

The longer narrower one on the left may be from a wild turkey, I have some of those too. The shorter wider one on the right looks like a Barred Owl feather o me.
