Thurin, what language is that that you're working with?

Also, I had no idea there was such a thing as Whittling Magazine. What's it like?

^ Is that a Turley I see?

And a Camp Nessie, Runt, Leatherman, GECs, Spyderco and I'm sure other stuff I'm missing. :)

Nice shot Nathan! All you are missing is a frosty brew to help you concentrate........................on the game. :D

Phil

That'll come after work. :D Believe it or not, having it on in the background isn't a distraction. Normally I have music going as background noise, this just takes it place for a bit.

The main screen there is javascript. There's also some SQL going on below it.

It's a Whittling book by Chris Lubkemann. Some good project ideas I've been trying out. Another thing that I do sitting at the desk when needing to think.

I officially own my grail knife. Just picked up this Bushfinger to keep my production Bushfinger company. I've always been into knives, but I got really into nice knives about 5 years ago, and the Bushfinger was THE knife I always wanted to get.

The thicker handle feels great in my hand! By far the most comfortable knife I've ever owned.

I'm hoping to get some woods time in a couple weeks so I can really put this beauty to use!

I found it in my Junk folder but yes I did receive it and thank you for the link! Don't know why hotmail put it there....

One of the perks of always being on the move is that everything you accumulate is either with you or catches up to you soon. One pf the drawbacks of always travelling is that you never get to take stuff home - double-edged sword! So after being away for a few months, the picture below shows what I currently have in my suitcase after purchases, trades, collecting stuff I had on hold and being reunited with old friends! There are worse things to have in your suitcase but it plays havoc with my checked luggage weight allowance. There are a few more in the mix/en route/at spa but until they're in the Samsonite they don't count!

Cheers,

Need to get them home to join the others. Tried shifting a few on the Fleamarket but no real interest and I'm terrible at letting them go anyway, so back to Asia it is, whenever I get chance.

bear71: thanks for sharing! That's quite the collection you have.

Cool picture, Mist!

I ended up selling mine since I have the handmade Bushfinger now, and I've been spending a little too much lately, but I think I'll probably end up with another one at some point.

You have a great eye for interesting compositions Brian. I am always blown away by your photography skills. The knife looks like it is holding up very well to all of your tests.

Phil

Have I mentioned that I really like CPM S35VN in my environment :)

At least you'll be well equipped if you ever find yourself surviving a plain crash on a deserted island, lol

Eat that, John Lock ;)

Thanks man. I really wish I would have had the resources to snag one of the hand made Bushfingers in S35VN, but it was a tough time for me. Being as I live in a temperate rain forest, and head to the coast every chance I get, this may be the closest I get, as there were very few made. I can't wait for the mid tech Hiking Buddy to come out. I want a couple of those, one for me and one for my daughter. I sort of watch her closely with the hand made Hiking Buddy I bought her, but i could be more relaxed about her learning curve with a mid tech model. I want one for me, just because I love the steel.

Thanks Phil, I really appreciate the compliment, I spend a lot of time experimenting. The mid tech Bushfinger is doing very well, I'm glad to finally have one in my favorite steel :)

Oh man one of the handmade Bushfingers in S35VN would be sweet. I didn't have the production model very long, but I've been very happy with the S35VN on my Spyderco Native 5. I did a partial trade of my Production Bushfinger plus cash on his end for a Spyderco Para 2 in S35VN and I'm looking forward to receiving it. I definitely want to try out the production Hiking Buddy once they're available. I really like the size and blade shape of the Hiking Buddy.

Yeah me too, in fact it could be argued I have a weakness for them... I think I've bought about five or six of them so far. :) The S35VN and micarta handle will be great for my area.
