I can't make up my mind on what to do now. I may dunk it again, but here's my Patch patina as of now. I like how the spalting is taking on color. Still needs stropping, but here she is....

Those GITD scales are just amazing Vayu, great pic!

I did some polishing last weekend, here are some before and after pics:

What did you use, Goober?

This:

That's a cordless Dremel with a polishing tip (new and unused one on the blade, used one in the Dremel) and some chrome polish. The Turtle Wax polish is crap though, I had to re-apply it 4 times per side to get to this result (and I feel it needs one more round per side before it's perfect). Flitz seems to be a popular product among American knife-users but they don't sell that here in Europe as far as I know.

I must add that Andy recommends against using any kind of power-tools on his knives by the way, so don't do it unless you feel absolutely comfortable with it please.

Gotcha.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't go the power tool route. I have yet to try flitz, but you're right. Everyone and their mother uses it in the states, it seems.

This knife is hands down my favorite thing in the world right now. I just can't stop cutting with it. This is an absolute grail type of knife for me, just outstanding!

Had a little bit of spare time today, so out came the waterstones to give my KEB's cutting edge that mirror finish.

Nice one Hasco! It reminds me of a shot I took of the first Bushfinger :)

Great knives guys (and impressive embers from your bow drill work - I have don't it before, but it's a heck of a lot of work for me. Oh, and damn near impossible in the jungle here by the way!) ;)

Good stuff!!!
