Fiddleback User Pics

Is the one with the white scales a bushfinger? What material is that?

Good eye -- yes it is a Bushfinger; spec as follows:

- Bone white linen over natural canvas with a blue g10 pinstripe, SFT Tang, Convex on 1/8” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel

Hey all,
I just wanted to share some quick updated pics of my FBF family! I've been traveling a ton for work lately, and really haven't had much time to participate in the forum. See below for a few teasers from an upcoming thread I'll be putting together regarding my first few months collecting, using, and working (not abusing) Andy's knives!

--I was hoping to get some pics of my latest family member (a camp nessie) up this weekend, but the post holiday has delayed delivery until Tuesday. Until then enjoy & feel free to ask if anyone wants any specific comparison photos, etc.

cheers

Nice little group of knives! I love the separation of intents :)

Work's been crazy and I've been out of pocket, but I am really liking my new EDCII. With the nice high grind, this thing is a great slicer even at 5/32.

Snack Time!

I have been thinking more and more about the EDC-II, and am looking forward to more pics. I love the grind on yours.

I was sitting at the table earlier, uploading some photos to my computer, and Lisa was making tuna salad. I looked over and noticed she was using the EDK I had laid on the counter, so I snapped a couple of quick pics. The EDK is a damn handy little tool.

WOW WOW WOW! A White Bushfinger! I can't remember seeing one of those! NICE

Took a little hike with the kids and new puppies... ended up 7+ miles after a wrong turn! LOL Here are some Sneaky Pete pics in the Blue Ridge Mountains.... Not the best, I only brought my phone.

Like from the "Sears would be proud" to "best bushcrafting knives in the business" to "now we're getting a little pointy" to "not sure if I'm tactical or not" to "i'm going to cut your heart out and eat it for dinner"?

I like 'em too :)

I'm pretty sure this one is going full time in the kitchen, although it may end up in it's intended EDC role also if I get a sheath for it. Hoping life slows down a bit so I can play with my knives.

Nice Will! Getting lost always makes for the best stories. Might not be fun at the time, but the kids will look back for years and enjoy the "remember that time when..." stories. One of my strongest memories of being out hiking way back in high school was getting lost in the Lost Creek Wilderness (appropriate name) and caught in a huge rainstorm.

Cool knife too...

Nice shots man, and like Thurin said, those times make the best stories. That SP has a gorgeous handle!

Yep, that's exactly the way I saw it :)

I'm still hung up on pointy for edc, since my edc would be the one I'd be digging splinters out with and such, but more and more I do like the EDC-II. Hmmm, maybe a thin, light TFK for a discrete necker, and an EDC-II on the belt :) I don't know though, I am loving the Raptor as an edc...it's just that Andy has this mysterious way of luring me into other models with just the right grind lol

Awesome shots -- gotta love the blue ridge! We're ~10mi out side of Shenandoah and love spending time up there!

I really like a blade in a tuxedo! There has been a couple of knives that I wasn't too big on. When I saw them in the tuxedo configuration, I had to have them. It really has a classic look. The irony being- it's one of Andy's bang for your buck scale options.

Nice EDC Thurin!

I just snagged this Monday from another forum. I should have it tomorrow. No it's not a genuine Fiddleback but It will make a good user and adds something unique to my Fiddleback family. Let's just call it an "adopted" Recluse.

Red and black carbon fiber handle

Tried to get one of those as well, but missed out on a few. Stopped looking after this arrived:
