Mist, that's some awesome burlap there, the green is my favorite!

I'm really digging the burlap micarta a lot, and the emerald green is really sweet!

Mist, how did the Nessie do in the kitchen?

I think it did well not being a dedicated food prep knife. The grind is higher than the full height grind on my Raptor because the blade is wider, and it slices really well. If the egde came down even with the guard, or maybe even a couple of thousandths below, I would really be able to take advantage of the near continuous curve on the cutting board better. As is with the slight guard and the 4 inch blade, it does limit the amount of edge that can contact the cutting board. If I were going to want a change with food prep in mind it would be to lower the edge rather than remove the guard. However I had no problems, and there is plenty of edge to rock on the board for cutting up fresh cilantro and what have you. The knife does really flow in the hand though, and I expect the somewhat serpentine/shallow S shape of the cutting edge and handle, will work well together in processing game. It feels perfect in a pinch grip. I didn't really get this one with kitchen duty as a primary role, I believe the guardless Woodchuck will definitely fill that role for me when I find the one I want.

That ness looks great. Have the scales been oiled?

Thanks, I think so too, and nope, not yet.

Took my F2 along while snowshoe hare hunting. Unfortunately, it didn't have the opportunity to do any game cleaning despite covering over 6 miles of woods.

Yeah this maroon Raptor is a super light, thin slicer for sure.

Yep, since it is the week of the Bushraptor I'll post mine too. Full-height, tapered-tang, 1/8 O-1, light and slicey to be sure, and damned handy to have around. I keep watching to see if any 5/32 versions pop up :)

Hey all, here are a few from tonight; I received my new hiking buddy to match my woodsman as well as some new leather from Rick Lowe! Can't wait to get this knife out in the back country;7-8 Weeks until I'll be all healed up.. Can't come soon enough!

Lighting is bad, but I just got finished re doing the edge on my bushfinger with a wicked edge pro. It is probably the sharpest it's ever been and has a nice polished edge to boot! It's ready for a full day of food & game prep tomorrow! Separately, any suggestions for angle profile for redoing the camp Nessie? I was thinking 45/40 inclusive... Thoughts?

O1 and food use I'd go 30 or slightly below. My field use knives are 30-40 Inclusive and no issues (O1 and S35VN) Even the Camp is sub 40...

20+20=40 Inclusive. 30 inclusive would mean that you sharpen at 15 degrees on each side of the edge

Awesome group shot of some very nice knives! Seeing certain models in the same photo sort of answers a question for me, but I may still ask the question of the whole group here.
